Shore up your quality control

If you're going to send customers worn merchandise as new why don't you mark it as is merchandise?  I remember back in 2004 when I purchased my first Denim & Co. crop pants the one they sent me had a stretched waist band like it was worn by maybe a large sized model and then sent to me.  That was back in 2004 when you still had your team of good quality control people.  Why is this still happening now?

Re: Shore up your quality control

I agree.  It's not only for returns that others don't want, can't wear, doesn't fit, just didn't like it, it's the new stuff too.

Quality control has fallen by the wayside on sizing of garments - ALL brands too.  I'm SO tired of buying items especially when I choose to buy multiples of the same item in the SAME size or what I thought to be the same size only to get them home and THEY ARE NOT AT ALL the same size.  It costs me too much sending the stuff back now in s/h costs.  I am WAY tired of this.

Re: Shore up your quality control

I looked up on the internet past QVC news releases and what came up was that in 2008 they started laying off employees and over the next 14 months intended to lay off about 600 workers.  I heard on earlier forums that this included their quality control staff which were very experienced workers at that time.  Maybe this is why they never recovered good quality control since 2008.

This certainly may explain a lot of things.  However, I wouldn't think that your quality control dept  personnel is who you'd want to get rid of.
