The cost of shipping for each individual item in a large order has really curtailed my QVC ordering habit.  I am a Amazon Prime customer and love the convenience and savings of paying an annual fee which allows me free or reduced shipping all year.  Why can't QVC offer its customers a similar membership option?  I would be much happier paying upfront once a year than being nickeled and dimed for every single item I order.  I have found that Amazon offers more and more of the same items offered on QVC and it may draw many of their customers away if they don't get their shipping figured out.

I imagine Amazon is stiff competition for QVC and all other retailers too.  I know I've bought things offered by QVC at Amazon instead due to my fast Prime shipping.

I will never pay a membership fee to Amz, QVC or anyone else.

I can wait for the occasional free shipping day.

And why would I pay Amz over $100 per year when I can do a $35 min. order from Wally and have it in about 2 days FREE!

Other vendors have lower min order to get free shipping.

THAT'S what I want QVC to do.

Places I order have from $35 to $49 min orders get free shipping.

NO membership fees for moi!!!

We had a prime membership in Amazon for a few years until they raised the price.  Now we order enought items from there at once to get free shipping and almost always receive our order as fast as we did when we had prime.

I agree with previous poster--would prefer to see a minimum order amount to get free shipping rather than pay a membership fee.

I'm not an Amazon Prime member but I do order a number of times a year. Usually have a few items per order and OFTEN, and I don't know why, I am given free or very reduced rate shipping!

I do live in WA state and a large city but not in Seattle, tho Seattle is about a 30 minute drive from me. I don't know why it happens but it's great when it does.

Well, count me in as an Amazon Prime fan.  QVC is just getting worse.

I ordered a Mally item from QVC on 08/19.  It finally said it shipped on 08/23, via USPS.

Today the tracking said it was out for delivery by 9 PM tonight.  DH went to the mailbox; we had mail (first time in 3 days), but no package.

I've just looked online and it now says "Delivery Expected September 1st".  WTH???

They took it to the post office about a half-hour past my town (and local post office) instead of delivering it today.  I could drive there and pick it up myself in the morning, but they won't let me.

I understand all the "problems" we keep hearing about, but it seems that QVC is the one having more problems than most with delivery.  Since this is makeup and it won't do it any good sitting around in this heat for days on end, I'll check it as soon as it arrives.  Whenever that is!

A shame I didn't know about the free shipping day - it couldn't have taken any longer!

Yes, I too have reached the end of my tether with these Q shipping issues.  I have an order of bagels that are supposed to be here this week.  They'd better not take the "long route".  Smiley Mad

And one other thing:  I order from Kohl's all the time.  No shipping issues there!

So, come on, QVC - enough with the excuses and all the allowances many of us have made for you.  Get it sorted!

I gladly pay the Amazon prime year fee.  Besides the free shipping on everything and anything, we use Prime Video and Prime Music all the time.

Re: Shipping cost options

[ Edited ]

There are times that I have received multiple clothing items in one big box , however have been charhed the $3.50 for each item. I do know that it is usually cheaper if you send  light weight clothing items in one box rather than shipping ecah individually. As a customer QVC did not afford me the discounted shipping  as they choose to send multiple light weight items in one box

l like amazon too . So glad l had the prime when l was unexpectedly hospitalized with knee surgery for 8 days and unable to go to any store for 4 months ! l was able to get stuff l needed with in a day or so . Needed tylenol , bandage stuff, ant poison , bigger underwear to fit over the big brace on my leg , l actually ordered the throw away kind , leg opening were so big and easy to get on , and tons of stuff that l needed . lt was a lot of help in a stressful time .  l also used walmart on line ordering for groceries , and my husband would go pick it up . Both these services were a life saver .
