Shipping costs on many items stop me from ordering. I really wish they would be more realistic and comparable to other internet sites with free shipping over a certain dollar amount.

I agree. I order quite often from Qvc. Part of my daily routine is to checkout the TSV. but I must admit, the shipping and return shipping costs at QVC stop me from ordering more. What starts out as a good price is often ruined by $7 shipping. Other companies offer free shipping and returns. The last few items I ordered from HSN were all free shipping. It seems like they offer free shipping a lot. As a regular viewer, I know how often the hosts boast of the liberal return policy, but 6 or 7 to ship plus another 6 or 7 to return, is almost 15 dollars just try a something on! That's nuts! I really consider my purchases anymore and more often than not, I pass on the clothes because of this. I think a lot of women feel this way, because let's face it, as much as QVC states they have standard Qvc sizes, the sizes really aren't. They styles and cuts are too different for this to be possible.

The cost of shipping & handling often if not nearly always decides whether or not I purchase something on QVC. The great majority of my purchases here are want rather than need. That being the case, if the s&h is higher than I deem reasonable, I do not order the item. This is especially true of sale and clearance items. There are too many online retailers with free or cheaper shipping and/or prices, offering the same or similar merchandise, for me to need to purchase an item at QVC vs. somewhere else. It's on s&h that QVC loses and almost any other site selling a comparable item wins.
