I am quite upset about the shipping and handling prices on multiple items. I have been shopping with QVC since 1986, and boy , has the shipping gone up!! A discount used to be provided if you purchased multiple items in the same show, or if you bought multiple items but different colors! I just purchased 5 bras, all same size, different colors, and was charged 5.50 shipping for each!! They all get put in the same box or bag, and theres no way it cost 5.50 x 5 to ship!!
This is a HUGH problem that truly needs to be addressed
Thank you in advance,
Nancy

Thank you for bringing this topic up. I'm sure it has been posted before but it feels like things are really escalating. I remember when shipping on multiple items used to be the same as one. And returns have really increased as well. If you have to return mulitple items in one bag it is$3.50 + $6.95 = $10.45 per item just to get it home and try it on and return it! This is becoming outrageously expensive. Especially when my email is filled with free shipping and free returns by dozens of companies. I do hope that QVC is listening to the rumble. It is going to quickly become a roar.

@Eddysmuma I too have been a customer from the very beginning. For you to pay separate s&h charges on each bra, is ridiculous. Years ago you got a 50% s&h discount on each item after the first when ordered at the same time.
Then a number of years ago, they reduced the s&h cost but there was no longer a discount on additional items. They truly need to RETHINK this.
I've had the same complaint about beauty items, which is why I rarely purchase them from QVC any longer, unless there is a really great deal on a TSV (which doesn't happen too often anymore either).

A couple of weeks ago I spent $72.25 for two items, crop pants, from Land's End. That included tax & shipping. They came in separate boxes because they were ordered a couple of days apart. I had to return them both (sizing issues). Put them in one box on the advice of the rep I spoke to on the phone. The credit back to my charge card was a total of $56.79. So I spent $15.46 and have no crop pants. It's a chance you take when you order on-line.

I do not order anything from Q that may have to be returned.
For clothes and shoes I only order from free shipping/free return sites or free ship /return to store options

If I’m even considering buying several smaller priced objects, I sometimes wind up canceling them all when I notice a massive shipping fee.
I deal with a few online mail order business who do offer free/reduced shipping often enough to make using them worthwhile.
I’m waiting to see QVC come up with something more often than we’ve seen so far. Hasn’t happened yet though.

@Eddysmuma , while you think all the bras will all come at one time in one bag, that may not be the case!
I ordered several Breezies bras on a Buy One Save $3 offer just a month or so ago. I paid full shipping for each bra even in the same order, just as you’ve noted in your post. A bra could go out in an envelope! QVC split the order by shipping the white ones from PA and the beige ones from California and treated it like two orders, so I did not get the Save $3 benefit! I had to call CS and make them see how I ordered versus how it came out. Credit was issued. One order, two different shipping origins. I think that’s the strategy for charging individual shipping costs;they don’t always send all items in one shipment.
Bought 2 pairs of D&Co shorts in one single order two weeks ago. One order, 2 shipping charges. Gray ones came from California two days after the indigo shorts arrived from the PA shipping center.
I find this baffling that the same label stock is in two warehouses far apart and customers pay for shipping each item while QVC works inefficiently and passes along resulting costs.
If there’s any doubt that I might not be satisfied with fit, I no longer buy.
What QVC needs is a sliding scale for flat rate shipping charges, kind of like some other merchants :
up to $50 in clothing or shoes costs $5
up to $75 costs $7
up to $99 costs $8
over $100 free shipping.
If necessary, heavy household items like pots and pans or ladders, etc, can have different shipping fees. But as far as I’m concerned, ALL garment shipping should be flat rate, not by item, but by total cost for the order. If QVC makes 3 items of clothing for $75 go out in 3 packages, increasing their own costs, they need warehouse efficiency, not compensating shipping charges for customers.

Agreed! The shipping fees have stopped me in my tracks when shopping online......only to.....
CANCEL ORDER!!!!! Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. LOL

@Eddysmuma, can you please share what bra has a $5.50 shipping cost? That truly seems crazy for something so light and breezy (no pun intended) as a bra. Most all the ones I've seen have a $3.50 shipping cost. I'd like to know what it is about these bras that is so special. Are they heavy or what? Ha!!!

Ouch, I am so sorry this happened. That's not good, and the exact reason why I no longer shop at Land's End. They used to have a free return through the Sears store. Sears has been closed for many years. There is only one Land's End store in the entire state and it is a four hour drive. No thank you. I just got a sales catalog in the mail today from them and it immediately went into the recycle bin. I enjoyed many of their items but there is no good way to return items if they don't fit.
I am very careful ordering clothes if there is no way to make a free return. This includes QVC.
