Why can't approximate shipping dates by zone be given? I would be more apt to purchase if I knew that info. On several occasions I have asked on the website listing of some what the approximate shipping time would be for my zone (8). But it never gets published.

I have posed the same question on QVC on several plant options.  QVC used to show a map of the US and you could locate your zone but not any longer for some reason.  They sure don't make it easy to purchase for sure.

@SylvaBelle   If you go to Robertasdotcom you can see the different zones & ship dates. Click on a plant, and then click on "find my zone. " A map showing all the different zones and their ship dates will come up.

Frankly with the weather being warmer the last few years, I think the ship dates could be moved up a couple weeks.

I agree with @Desert Lily â€” I think they may have to adjust shipping timeframes each season depending on the trending temperatures. Some zones may stay approximately the same from season to season, but others may be much colder or milder based on recent weather. For example, I live in a state that's in one of the colder zones, but we have had unseasonably mild temperatures overall for the first few months this year, even with regular snow, and that is definitely affecting our spring planting plans.

One thing I've tried before and had success with is adding a plant to my cart and then beginning the checkout process; sometimes the estimated ship date is listed in the order details at that stage, so hopefully that would be helpful for your plans. Good luck!

I remember when they used to put their ship date map in the listing.  Guess not anymore?

I disagree about changing the ship date due to current trending temps.  If the average last frost date has not changed, then they should not ship earlier.  People get lulled into thinking they can put plants in the ground before that date and then a late freeze happens (which really isn't late) and they lose their plants.  For a business that claims to guarantee your plants, that's a lot of replacement plants.

A couple of years ago I was out on a ski trip and one of my friends back home was posting pics of all her veggies she had growing.  A few weeks later, she was crying becasue all her veggies got killed by a frost.  We still always get a cold snap right at Easter regardless of the trending temps and regardless of where on the calendar Easter falls.  Therefore, nothing goes in the ground here before tax day.

Just google it.  My shipping is May so I gave up.  Nothing grows anyway & our fall starts in September.
