Shining flashlight into the camera

When I buy a flashlight, I don't shine in into my eyes. I shine it on something in the distance to see the brightness and range. Why don't the hosts and vendors shine the flashlight into their own eyes. Because it's not how you determine if it is as good flashlight. And it would hurt their eyes. So don't flash it at our eyes.

I've never seen a host shine a flashlight into the camera.

Callie was selling a keychain flashlight on HSN today and that's how they demonstrate it. By pointing the light directly into the tv camera.
