It wasn't a big part of what she sold, but more of a here and there thing. I honestly don't recall any specifics, but as @AuntG mentioned, I seem to recall she occasionally offered a few hoilday items.

Joan Rivers sold her jewelry then clothes,then a few home decor items. I remember I bought her tent dress, it was the very forst clothes item she sold. Omg, what was I thinking???   A tent dress on me, good Lord!!   but Joan looked okay in it lol. I have still some throw pillows of hers too, gorgeous. I bought her advent calander, it was a work of art.

The only vendor I remember being on a lot back in the day, was a dolllady, the craftsman guy, and omg...yes.  Susan Graver!!!  . SG was on so much, so loud. At first she was quiet, and thoughtful, then once she was on a few months she got her stage legs!    They went whole hog on her about 2003 or 2004.  I quit watching. I couldn't take it. I didn't care for the clothes, but it was her that drove me from QVC on TV totally. They had other vendors on often I loved though, like Annette Funicello and Marie Osmomd. Toward the end Marie,was on a lot. Too much, for dolls.  But she was hot and sold like crazy. They often had her TSV, (I loved her, but not dolls)   They  were nice dolls tho.   lol. But, If you didn't buy dolls, you were out of luck, because she had many shows  One item I remember QVC hawking many times a week was TFal, and Nesco. You cannot be a old timer with QVC and not own a Nesco roaster , at least the 6 qt, or a t-fal frying pan. I still have the chicken fryer pan in Teal! lol lol

@michellegirl  She sold mostly clothes, but lots of things, from home items to cosmetics to jewelry but mostly fashions, as I remember, and she was great fun to watch, especially when paired with Lisa, one of the former hosts.

@stevieb   yes, she did sell cosmetics. I bought that hair powder she had to make thinning hair look thicker.  My mom used it and loved it. She also sold foundation and a killer hand cream. The hand cream was a best seller, and truely worked for dark spots and such. It had the hydroquinion (sp) in it. The FDA withdrew the main ingredient without a Drs RX, so that was that..

That's intresting regarding Joan River's Hand Cream. I always thought that she had beautiful hands and wondered what her secret was.

Agree 100%!

It seems that we are not allowed to "criticize" hosts or vendors here. Big difference between "criticize" and "bash". Too much "criticism" and the moderator decides it's "argumentative" or "unkind to the host" and poof goes the thread! I'm waiting on this one as well.

@Steeleranne

Welcome to the board. I'm sorry you weren't able to get a legitimate answer to your query. People on here can be so cruel. I see that the board troll jumped on your post in just 4 minuttes, then came back six minutes later for more, then came back again to edit the second post. He must be so lonely, posting on here all day.

I hope you can get an answer to your question. It is very clear that Kim Gravel has more air time than Joan Rivers or Susan Graver ever had. Kathy Levine states in her 1995 book that Diamonique was then 5% of QVC sales, which seems about where Kim Gravel may be today, perhaps more.

Sometime last year, I read a blog article that stated that Forbes recently did a list of 50 successful women over 50 and that Kim Gravel was on it. According to the article, Forbes stated that, "These days, she sells her brand’s wares on QVC and at 53, became ‘the first brand in their history to surpass $250 million in sales in a single year.’ "

I'd say that rather explains why she is on air so much.

Re: Seeking QVC Viewer Historians

I am rethinking, and am wondering if the most air time didn't at one time go to Joy Mangano. Joy did both HSN and QVC.  She was so over used. She just kept inventing new things.  Always a TSV, so,ething. I couldn't tolerate her either. If she wasn't on infomercials with that mop, she was on tv shows , shopping channels. Then movies, now a musical. lol. And it started with the Miracle Mop

Re: Seeking QVC Viewer Historians

It does explain it but there is also a fine line they walk with over saturation.  I use to like her and bought a few items from her line but I am so tired of seeing her every time I turn on the tv or look at my computer.  I now actively avoid her shows at this point.  I am one of those that once I am done, I'm done.  QVC should be careful.  Too much of a good thing is not always a good thing.
