Search Festure please tweak

The search feature is so confusing to me.

In an attempt to find out info pertaining to the TSV Luminara, I just started a new discussion instead of trying to decipher which were current strands. 

The way it is set up is not helpful.

The search feature for clothing using key words instead of exact words in the title doesn't work for me either. TIA
