I've been keeping my opinions to myself for a long time, but today I just couldn't do it any longer. My husband will usually sit and watch QVC with me, but one night he asked if I would please, change the channel because he was about to throw something through the television. He said that he couldn't listen to the host (Sandra Bennett) interrupting any more. Today, I just had to turn the TV off. I kept waiting for Bret to ask her why he was even there. She's not the only one, by far. I really wish QVC would coach the hosts on manners and professionalism. I don't even watch Saturday Morning Q, any more. I refuse to watch anything with Shawn in it. She exaggerates the difference in the regular price "with shipping and tax" with the sale price. As if you won't have to pay for shipping and tax when it's on sale. And I'm not talking about free shipping events.

I see no need to watch any of the presentations. I check "items recently on air" and if it's something of interest, I'll watch the video. Wouldn't waste my time watching the inane presentations. Expect the day will come sooner rather than later when QVC/HSN will only be online.

Rarely does a day go by that somebody doesn't complain about Sandra here. I don't even try to watch her; haven't for a long time.

Shawn on Saturday mornings? Is that a blast from the past?
And trust me, I'm not one to defend Shawn's behavior, but some things should be automatically known by the customer. Like what, if any, their local sales tax would be. Obviously that varies with each customers. Shipping cost, like with most online retailers, is revealed in your cart prior to checkout.
Curious what retailer doesn't just initially tell the price of an item for sale? Shipping and tax is only discussed at checkout. Is QVC somehow doing something different than what happens with the rest of the retail industry?

I agree, every time she says with shipping and tax, it bugs me, She should be saying with shipping and handling instead because most if not all states charge taxes.

I enjoyed Sandra's contributions to the Amazon Kindle presentation.
I didn't find that she "interrupted" more than any one else.
In fact, a number of her helpful comments are causing me to consider a purchase. She did her part and I appreciate it.

Lots and lots of complaints about the host interruptions, often justified, but guess what, they are not going away anytime soon. QVC's sales model is a hot mess but someone thinks it works, even though the numbers don't always support that conclusion.

I feel the hosts are doing exactly what they've been told to do, which is non stop talking. It's not just Sandra. I sometimes want to yell at the screen -- please, slow down, take a breath. I think it's a requirement now, unlike in days gone by.
All of us have had to do things in our work, that we didn't like either. My work would often feel like a performance. It could be exhausting, too. So, I try not to judge others out there making a living. With all jobs, pressure behind the scenes is often not very pleasant.

Very simple....do not watch hosts you do not like. If you lined up 10 people 5 would like the host and 5 would not. Cannot please everyone.
