Suggestion - why not enable reviews quicker - like when a purchase is made.  And stop sending emails requesting that a reveiw be done when it's already been done months and months ago.

@FranandZoe.  How in the world could a review be realistic if written before you received the item?  What would be the point in doing it as soon as purchased?  That wouldn't be a review; it would be an impression.

Wow.  Well they used to let people write them when they hadn't even purchased the item.

How about when they verify receipt of the item then?  Or maybe after they confirm that the buyer has kept the item for a certain period of time?

How about just not emailing me to review things I've already reviewed?

And must you yell?

@FranandZoe.  Yelling?  Yelling is writing in all caps.   I write in large font so I and others here can read it.  Aren't you fortunate you don't have poor vision?

This is a big pet peeve I have with QVC, and it's funny because their sister Co. HSN does not allow it. Which is for someone to leave a "review" without ever having purchased the item. So it then becomes an "opinion" without merit. Most of the time when this happens it is a not so nice remark, or "opinion" of the Designer, which again, should not be allowed ever.

Why would anyone think it relevant to offer an opinion on something they never purchased, when it says "leave a review?" they are clearly 2 very different things. If one feels so strongly about leaving an opinion, which by the way is totally subjective, then do so on the blog. Ugh!

I could be wrong @KittySoftPaws but didn't QVC change their review policy? I can only leave a review through my order history. I haven't been able to leave a review for an item not purchased. This is how I have to leave a review now.

@FranandZoe I never receive emails months later to leave reviews. In fact I've never received more than one email per item I ordered. I don't even receive emails for all my orders placed. Maybe because I order so much on Clearance and As Is.

But, in the scheme of things, it wouldn't bother me at all if I received an email requesting to leave a review, regardless the length of time nor the number of times. I appreciate all reviews.

@cjm61  I just saw the other day, 2 rude examples of what I am speaking about, and they can be found on Aimee Kestenberg's new short a line dress. So apparantly the Q is still allowing this, as there is no mention whatsover of either of these "reviewers" indicating they had purchased the item. Just an opportunity for them to leave nasty comments.

As for reviews, I also appreciate them as I am sure we all do, and want to see them positive or negative. But ONLY from those who actually have the item. And without any personal attacks on the designer or host. If it's not allowed on the boards, then it should also not be allowed there. That's the point of my post.

@cjm61

It is supposed to work that way but it doesn't.  I read a lot of reviews.

There are still reviews from those who admit they didn't order, cuz they had no petite, no talls,

Reviews that just say who woud buy this ugly thing... Reviews on food saying this is unhealthy and they would never order...you know...all the regular reviews we dislike.

Don't know how they post them, but they are still there.

Well that's unfortunate @KittySoftPaws . Those reviews have no business being allowed. I'm not sure how they are finding there way around it because I always have to go through my orders to write a review. I am not a fan of Jane's but that is totally unacceptable.

I also don't know how these people are leaving reviews without purchasing the item.  I've only been able to post a review through the purchase history @cjm61 .
