So agree!!  The worst is reviews because they are watching and don't like it just from the TV.

Reviews are monitored by a computer system, not by live people. It screens for wording and certain information but nothing else. If the content doesn't violate those standards, it's added to reviews.

IMO, I don't know what the big deal is. Just ignore the ones that don't help.

@frenchie - Agree that it's not fair. I wonder if vendors complain about this to QVC? These types of reviews, and subsequent low 'Star Ratings' of their item, just makes their product look bad.

It matters because the stars are involved. If there are only a few ratings and one is someone who hasn't purchased the item it can turn people off. Not everyone wants to go read reviews. Sometimes they see a few star rating and move on.

The moderators that run the forums are not the same ones that moderate the reviews.  As I understand it, the reviews are looked at by an outside company.  The rules as far as what can be said are obviously not sufficient to weed out the ridiculous reviews that we all notice.

One of my favorites is when someone gives an item a 5 star review and then says, "I can't wait to try it."  How can you review something if you haven't even tried it yet?  Not at all helpful!  :smileyfrustrated:

I agree with the OP....another Review that's not valid is they complain because their size or color was sold out and they didnt get to order the item.....This shouldnt be allowed as a product REVIEW!!!

Consumers have a responsibilty to recognize and consider these things. I don't expect retailers to spoon feed because they'll always make things look better for themselves than they really are.

Amazon's reviews/stars often don't match reviews if you compare the stars at the top to the ratings levels in the reviews section.

This is true, @NickNack.   In fact, it's not just the moderating that is separate from QVC and unrelated to the QVC Social Team -- QVC doesn't manage the reviews.  It's done by a company called "Bazaarvoice" and as far as I know we have no way of contacting them with suggestions or concerns other than the "report" feature on each review.

I am not able to leave a review at ALL.  I've been trying for a month or so, I finally called Customer Service and they said that the feature had been suspended?  What?  She didn't know why, but I asked her to please report it.

I bought an item that had no reviews on it and I feel so bad because it is a really great item, and not being able to leave a review is awful.

And I've tried different ways to leave a review.  From the orders page, and from other pages as well.  Nothing,

Anyone else have this problem?  If you do, PLEASE call customer service and complain.

THANKS!
