I would really like to be able to read the reviews for items that sold out. Especially if it is an item that I had purchased or was considering purchasing. This is available on the HSN site but not here on QVC? dunno

Re: Reviews for sold out items

Good idea, especially if an item returns as an "AS IS" status, reveiws would be helpful.

Re: Reviews for sold out items

In many cases, if you type the item number or title into Google, you can view the previous listings for an item, including reviews, even if you can't get to the information by typing it into the search bar on the QVC website. You can either click the main link presented and see if it shows the listing, or you can use the tiny arrow next to the URL on the Google page and select "Cached" to see a not-so-pretty-but-still-populated version of the listing.

However, QVC has recently begun taking down pages for sold out items, even when they only sold out a day or two ago, which is frustrating. As one example, I recently purchased a Cottage Farms hydrangea plant that arrived in awful condition, so I wanted to rewatch the presentation to see what I should do to care for it, and I also wanted to see if others had the same issue--but all I got in searching for the item anywhere was a page that said the item was sold out. As another example, around Christmastime, I purchased some Landies Candies filled pretzels through the website that were never presented on air, and back in March, I wanted to see what the shelf life was and find out if nutrition information was available since none came in the package, but again, there was just a blank page with a note that the item was sold out.

Anyway, long story short, I agree with you! I understand why the "as is" items don't keep reviews around since there is typically very little inventory and it isn't the original, new item, but for everything else, I wish the pages would stay accessible.
