I can't believe QVC allows "reviews" to be posted by people who have never purchased the product; or are just upset because the item they are looking at isn't what they want. I would not consider these "reviews" when I am considering what to buy. If you buy a 2 quart pan and it only holds 2 quarts, do not give a poor review because you wanted a 2 1/2 quart pan. The other problem is folks leaving erroneous information, i.e. with temp-tations I have seen comments stating it costs too much to send it back for one imperfect item when it is made very clear that for an entire year you can call temp-tations customer service and they take excellent care of the problem.

Thanks for listening.

I know what you mean. My favorite one was the buyer who didn't like the lift up on the kitcheaid 6qt. mixer she bought- She wanted the tilt up one.

We've all been complaining about this for a while now and it seems they don't care. What is remarkable about all the reviews posted, that shouldn't be posted, is that they actually go through them first and approve the ones they will post! What the heck?

Not only do I still see plenty of reviews from people who don't even have the item, but there is a ridiculous number of reviews that are just emotional life stories without any pertinent facts. I don't care if your daughter moved out two years ago and she has a really small apartment and you've talked to her about getting one but she didn't care so you finally decided to get her one and - I HOPE SHE LIKES IT! FIVE STARS

Gadzooks!

But, seriously, reviews are for stating FACTS about an item based upon an educated view that includes having had the item for a while and used it for a while. Some of the ones I see sound like they just got the box from UPS, pulled it out, ran to the computer to post a review - it's so purdy. Sure thing.

Moral of the story - Unfortunately, we have to put little stock in the majority of reviews you see on shopping network websites.

HSN won't allow a review on anything not purchased there. Just yesterday I tried to review something and was given a message that I could not review a product until 5 days after the delivery date.

"I got the small and it fits great! Love the color!" Helpful on two counts there. Not.

"Smaller than I expected" (when dimensions are posted, and there's a video).

"UPS guy left the box in the rain".

"I lost the heart-shaped charm the first day, clasp came undone" (charm isn't heart-shaped, and it's soldered, so this review isn't even for the correct item).

I'm pretty sure no one at QVC actually reads the reviews, it's just a bot that looks for certain words, in the same way we can't post various words here.

I know what you mean OP. It justs makes me mad when I take the flipping time to write an adequate review of what I have purchased without writing any obscene words and anything that does not pertain to the products, just an honest review, good or bad, and it does not get posted. I actually want to alert customers that they should not waste their time or that this product is fabulous but about a dozen times my reviews have not been posted. Then I read in a thread about a review that makes absolutely NO sense because it does not have any actual English words.... And that gets posted.... What.....? I have not posted a review in a while even though they email me to do so (but they do not solicit anyone for reviews..... Sure..) because most likely it will not get posted. One other thing like Clover29 mentioned above that some say they love a color or when they say the color does not look anything like it does online without even mentioning what color they are talking about. Pointless...

I just read a "review" complaining because her auto-delivery was stopped after two shipments--even though two shipments was all there was for that plan! Nothing to do with the product itself, just complaining about something that isn't even a problem. I see sooooo many of those!

WHY don't people pay attention when they order? Read the description, check the measurements (I often pull out a ruler/tape measure so I can visualize the actual size of something--imagine that). If it's an auto-delivery with only a certain number of shipments, the description will state that.

Most of all....QVC STOP POSTING REVIEWS THAT AREN'T REALLY REVIEWS!!!!!!

I will NO longer take the time and write a review.

I wrote a nice 5 star review for some Clark sandals and they never posted it.

My time is too valuable to waste it with writing reviews that won't be posted.

I can't remember the last time I posted a review here. When a company continues to allow reviews that aren't legit, like all the examples written above, but does not hesitate to reject credible reviews for whatever reason (yes, it's happened to me too) I feel it's a complete waste of my time. I don't mind giving my honest opinion of an item here on the forum, though. Let's hope we continue to have that privilege...

It's not just QVC. HSN has the same problem.

I glance at reviews for amusement, but look to these boards for "real" comments regarding products.
