Dear Q-  this is to request more merchandise options for capris that do not have such baggy legs ("elephant legs") but aren't leggings tight; also not the usual 21 inches too-long since I am 5:4.   I think that shorts generally look bad on us middle-aged ladies but a lot of capris aren't much better.  Sometimes a crop pant  fits better but when it's hot a capri can be great. Thanks!

I am your height and agree with you about the length of crop pants. It's not flattering on a shorter person.  When they hit halfway between knee and ankle, it's not good. I usually do OK with the capris though.

If they fit through the hips and thighs, I don't worry too much about the width of the legs, but I can't stand bagging in hips and thighs, fitting like pajamas.   17" may seem short but I like it.

Re: Request for Capri design

i like your request for a more fitted type of capri (or in my case crop).  in the warmer months, i dont like them too baggy and definitely not skin tight.  just nicely fitted.

i can wear a capri, but at 5'6", i sometimes think that a crop looks better.

Re: Request for Capri design

Years ago I bought capris from Denim and company they were great. Fit nice and they weren't baggy. But now they have changed them so much.  I ordered a pair last year they were clown pants I sent them back.  I'm not ready to join the circus yet.

Re: Request for Capri design

Nice suggestion. Baggy leg capris are the reason I don't buy many. Denim & Co has started offering slimmer leg versions on several styles and lengths of pants. Hopefully this will continue.

Re: Request for Capri design

That odd flare out at the bottom of most of them is what keeps me from ordering, along with the baggy hips & thighs.
