@JLLH358 I posted a similar remark back in the day. QVC was taking pre-orders on a David Venable cookbook and before it ever even shipped, his groupies flooded the reviews with 5 stars. There was no way those people could have received and used the cookbook because it was in pre-order status, but QVC left the reviews there anyway. When I came along later, I had to wade through all that junk to read legit reviews from people who actually received and used the cookbook.
However, full disclosure, I recently posted a review on an item I did not buy in an effort to provide feedback on a false claim being made on air by the host and the vender. Specifically, there was a live plant being presented that the host and the vender claimed was such an incredibly rare color for that type of flower (plain old white, btw) that it "is unheard of." Well, I knew that to be 100% false. A quick internet search revealed many online garden sites selling that identical "unheard of" white flower and, perhaps not surprisingly, for a much lower price than QVC. Honestly, I felt like I was helping by pointing out the false information to others so they could make an informed decision about where/if to buy. Not my subjective opinion about the product, but offering objective, verifiable information debunking QVC's claim. The very next day, another reviewer posted a similar comment noting that she'd just purchased 2 of these "rare" and "unheard of" white plants at her local Walmart for $5.42 (vs. $39 + shipping at QVC for 3 plants). I went to my Walmart a couple of days later and found/purchased those same "rare" plants 2 for $5.42. If I can get them here in my small town of 8,000 people, there is no way in h3ll that they are rare or unheard of as QVC claims.
To me, there is a distinction between what I (and the other reviewer) did with the flower vs. the David Venable cookbook groupies. But I get that some may view it as someone being a hypocritical troll.

I was referencing those who (esp. in clothing) just run an item down without having seen it in person. There's been a huge number of those in fashion. Reviews are not the place for that; this forum is. Those who do that are NOT providing a service or correcting something they've heard online. They're just trolling. And if other sites can prevent that (including HSN), the Q surely can.

@TXGRIFF seriously, You received an email like that from the Q? You must have posted quite a review to get such an email. I have read some pretty nasty reviews on the Q that obviously made it past the moderators. Yours must have been a doozy

I wrote a bad review for a Halo item that was a completely unusable and why. I have two other Halo items that I rely upon. It was rejected. So, I guess only good reviews are posted now a days.
