I'm hoping that someday Q will offer more exchange options. Rather than current- to choose another size, color, etc. of the same item, I would like the option to purchase a totally different item at same price as my original purchase.

@wannabee1  lol.  I bet you'd be really thrilled to pay the same price as the original item when the new item was priced less.

I don't think you've thought this through.

Re: REAL Exchange Option

[ Edited ]

The Q needs to master the current exchange program before introducing any other options.

It would be a logistical nightmare since items come from different warehouses, different vendors, etc.

@wannabee1

Well wouldn't we all, lol!  Seriously, I don't know of any online retailer that offers that option.

Not really.....Q could send a letter to the other warehouse and let them know an exchange was coming and to be prepared...

The warehouse folks could look, verify it there's one available, or, if not, send a letter BACK to Q to adise them....

Then Q could send a letter to the customer...

Of course this would add a lot of time, but maybe a return would come in, and the warehouse could then send a letter to Q to advise them of availability, and Q could respond advising the warehouse to send it to the customer!!!

Would speed up deliveries !!! ( If this were 1923 instead of 2023....)!!!!

@shoesnbags @wannabee1

in the past I have dealt with many  catalog retailers who  had an exchange process that allowed you to return an item and exchange it for a completely different item at a different price . So, how was that accomplished that can't be done by QVC , except to improve their process which stinks when it comes to exchanges for the same item #  and very slow in returning your purchase price.

Because most retailers don't have multiple warehouses across the country.  They also don't use drop ships directly from vendors either.

It's 2023, QVC doesn't 'mail' things, they Email things, much faster.

Given Q's handling of returns/exchanges now, I doubt they could even begin to handle an exchange for a different item.

No retailer will allow a free exchange for a more expensive item. Besides, Q's bottom line is bad enough without taking that kind of hit.
