@LavernLuvsShoes - I was saying just that to my DH while we out at lunch.  I said I wonder if they're all frantic to protect their jobs, so they're talking faster and faster, trying to sell, sell, sell.

Or seem super animated!  It's not working, if the aim is to increase sales.

I figure it could be laid at the feet of the PTB.

I haven't watched Rachel's presentations in awhile, I can't stand her voice.  It just grates on me. Nothing against her, it's just me.

@Venezia    We really don't know it the sell sell sell pitches are not working. QVC has a global audience of 350 millions households and 7- 7.5 active customers. So a few posters on the forums who express dislike of certain hosts will not really give a true picture of sales produced by these hosts. My suspicion is that QVC is looking at the number. of sales generated by the hosts not these forums to determine wich hosts are valuable to the company.

I personally think Rachel does a good job.

@50Mickey - You could be right.  I could be wrong.

But it doesn't work for me.

And, if it's working, I'm surprised by the financial situation they now find themselves in.  Time will tell, I guess.

It is not at all uncommon for sales professionals to have to reapply for positions.  I have been a part of restructuring, and it is not a fun time. I haven't watched a whole program with her, but she doesn't bother me.

She was great when she first started, then it seemed her frien Kerstin was giving her pointers and she became too much. Just like kerstin and Alberti. I like Amy but she too seems like she has a point to prove and too hyper. My Qvc is off more than on. SHOP ON LINE

I agree, if it looks good on her, then I think it might look good on me too @Krimpette

When RB first started on the Q, she was a fresh poised addition to the aging crew, but then something drastically changed.  She became more frenetic, hurried in her presentations talking over every vendor.  I've noticed it in other hosts as well.

I hear ya!

Again, I'm wondering if they're under a tremendous amount of PRESSURE behind the scenes?!

@LavernLuvsShoes  I agree with you. Pressure maybe, but then why do some of the other seasoned hosts not act like that? She and Alberti talk so fast, they don't even know what they are saying!! Which sometimes comes across as downright stupid.

We often wonder if the higher-up's pressure the hosts to say certain things, if the hosts use sensationalism on their own or if it is a combination of the two.

Perhaps it was gourmet holiday on Wednesday but the host in question was presenting some sort of expensive chicken in some sort of cream sauce. The man who was presenting the chicken ended up cooking it either too long or too high in the pan and the sauce literally seperated into fat rather than the cream sauce. Anyway, I took notice how the host used the term "clean" many times in a brief span to describe the chicken and she even used the same term to describe the nut mixture that was shown after the chicken dish. As I listened, I wondered if, on her own, she thought pushing that term was effective or if she was pressured to overuse the word. Take notice how they will get like a dog with a bone and use certain catch phrases or words over and over and over again. Makes one wonder.

Rachel Bosing talks fast, she’s high‑pressure, and like a lot of the hosts she says plenty of stupid things. Some like her, some don’t.
