Re: Questions About the Community?

[ Edited ]

I'm consolidating all of my questions to one post:

I keep getting a 404 error when trying to post on Kindle Fire HD (using the Silk browser, please don't as me which version as I can't find that anywhere on the browser help page).

I also keep getting the old forum on my Kindle File HD.  Is it me and my cookies or the new forum?

Is it possible to get a description of what all of the settings mean?

I'm specifically referring to Linear Layout and Topic Layout?  I'm not sure what these 2 things are and what I think I want.  Also, what are Macros used for?  Can you give us a usage example?

When I "View All Forum Posts", how to I get it to sort by the most recent post in any topic?  I have gone in and played around with a variety of settings and I can't seem to find one that will give me all topics by last post time stamp.  I also tried to sort by clicking on the header to see if you can sort that way but apparently not. [I see this feature is available now, thanks]

I seem to have to log in a lot.  If my laptop goes to sleep or if I move from my Kindle to my phone to my laptop I have to log in every time I switch back.

@ Jazzmom I hope they're put back. Subforums are really needed. No one wants to slog through dozens of topics in a forum to find what you want to read.

Re: Questions About the Community?

This new set-up is truly awful.  It is not user friendly.  You cannot quickly go to a subcategory.  You now have to siphon through all major categories to find a particular area of interest.  This will take much longer and will now not be something I use.  It's a shame because I get a lot of information from other customers that lead to my purchases.  That's why they were so valuable.  So long QVC.

Not a question, but a big THANK YOU for getting rid of some of those unending threads. Pancake having kittens, etc.

melfie, you are so right, no way am I going to slog through all this stuff to find what used to be in a specific sub forum.

Are they still here and we can't find them? Are they gone.

Boy, wish they had tried this out before they lauched it.

That's what I'm finding also...2where are the new posts and how do we find them? Don't like this new forum at All. ! Just give us back our old forum. I don't come here to work, not everyone is tech savvy . Easy is always better.

Re: Questions About the Community?

I would like to request the sub-forums. This Board becomes nothing but a hodge-podge without them.

Sub-forums, please!!

Re: Questions About the Community?

Visually, the all white/grey on the screen is not easy to read.  Print is too small.  Where is Book Talk?

Individual designers?   Where is "Q Did What?"?   As a fairly new arrival to the Forums, I was enjoying

discussions about upcoming Linea items and others' postings about their Linea purchases.  Had just

discovered Book Talk, now it seems to be gone?!
