Well, I do have the Q-card, and I appreciate the option of having easy pay if I want it.  The original poster sounds like sour grapes to me.

I don't see anything unfair about it. When customers make purchases on a Q card and carry a balance, QVC gets the interest charged. If someone uses a regular credit card, Visa or Mastercard gets the interest and QVC pays the merchant discount fee of serveral percent. QVC makes a lot more money off Q card purchases, so they throw consumers a bone of an extra easy pay.

Personally, I think easy pay is a really bad idea. You are paying full retail price, and if you carry a balance, you're paying a lot more. If you can't afford to buy something and pay for it, maybe you don't really need it.

I would much rather see an occasional 20% off coupon. That saves money.

If people are willing to pay the astronomical interest rates that the Q Card carries, I guess they should get some small reward for their loyalty.  They are welcome to it in my opinion.

Hello, JB1114 and welcome. Smiley Happy

QVC does have to compete with other shopping channels. QVC not only has to try and reward loyal long-time customers, they have to try to bring in new customers as well.
