Start a thread, get bullied, say what you think, get bullied, say something back to the bullies get reported. Give an honest opinion as to what you think, get reported and get put in time out, say it again, get banned.

This is what happens to some, but for some reason there are others that are so nasty they hurt posters. They get reported and nothing happens, so yes I do believe there are moderator plants on these threads.

My advice, keep it clean and fun and all will be good in forum land.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!

I'm sorry if that happened to you, golfcartrider.

If it helps, something similar happened to me on this forum as well. I started a thread in the Beauty Banter sub-forum and boy, did they verbally beat me like a drum.

I've been called passive-aggressive, I've been called a paid representative for one of the vendors on QVC, I've been told that I fantasize things, I've been called a immature school girl, I've been followed from thread to thread, I've been bullied and I've been made to feel like it was all my fault.

All the ugly posts that they wrote about me remained. Not one of their posts got deleted and the ugly things they posted about me still remains.

I tried being verbally tough (not mean) with them. Didn't work. I tried be nice to them. Didn't work. I tried staying away from their territories (whatever sub-forum they deem is theirs and no one elses). Didn't work. I tried ignoring them. Didn't work. I tried putting them on ignore. Kind of worked, but I can still see their posts when someone quotes them and then I see the mean things they posted about me. So, in a way, didn't work.

I'm sorry. I honestly have no advice to give you on what to do. It seems certain posters and cliques rule entire sub-forums and, at times, the whole forum itself. I just don't know what to do. I am sorry that happened to you, though. For what it's worth, I don't think you're a bad poster.

On the plus side, though, there are some really good ladies on these boards who are nice to me and they made me feel a little better about the whole thing. I do wish some of the posters here would stop following me from thread to thread and treating me like that. But, I'll just try to focus on the positive and hope they leave me alone. Smile

write to corp, it is a hassle, but write or call, if they hear it enough they will do something. they probably just think it is so awful it can not possible be true.

Thank you, but I don't want to bother QVC corp with something like that. This is kiddie stuff that, with practice, I can learn to tune it out. I'd prefer QVC to work on bringing more variety to their shows.

It's true, the snarking can hurt my feelings at times, but my feelings heal fast enough and I come back ready to post again. Maybe...I'll start by not bringing it up too much. But, I kind of bring it up from time to time only when someone else was on the receiving end of a verbal pile on because I don't want them to feel alone. But, maybe next time, I'll just tell them that I'm sorry they got a verbal tongue lashing and say words of comfort instead of bringing up the eh....the tongue lashings I received. I guess that does no good.

Thank you anyway, though.

N.C. All you say is true and most happened to me. I found out the only way to avoid trouble and stay on the threads is to me nice and sty away from any snarkers except to say something nice. It is funny but some of the posters that used to follow me and really cut into me are now being nice and pleasant to talk too. So no matter what I think or want to say I will keep it clean.

PLEASE ladies, do not give those in control a reason to poof this thread! I think this is a very serious issue that QVC needs to look into since they are paying a third party to do the moderation function!!
