Why? Why? do we have to watch the same program for the special value all night long? Do you know how irritating it is to someone who cannot sleep at night?  And then,we have to endure hour long programs on the TSV.  What the heck.  I hate to say it but I am becomming super bored with QVC.  How sad.  Does anyone else feel the same way.

There have been many complaints on the board about this. HSN also repeats the ts all night. It seems it is saving QVC and HSN money. I hate the repeats over night too. I wish they would stop The other channels like Q2 and use those hosts to broacast overnight. I do not get the other channels in my area so those broadcasts would have new things. Apparenty the execs think that people like to watch the TSVs over and over again. Sometimes they broadcast the TSVs for up to 10 hours each day. Really????

Sounds like QVC is becoming just another info-mertial channel.

I think the recorded overnight hours are sort of like the competing retailers who close down some of their stores but not the whole chain.  I can't say I like the repeat hours, but I understand them because I can't remember ever spending much money during those hours when they were live.

That's pretty much the same as I couldn't complain when Talbots and JJill closed down their stores in the mall near my home.  I didn't spend money there.  Just didn't like seeing the empty windows.

Maybe QVC will figure out a way to go live again.  Talbots did return to our mall - just in a much smaller store.  (Sad to say, if they close again, maybe it's still my fault!)

What I have noticed when I can't sleep is that QVC and HSN aren't alone in the overnight changes.  Now there are reteats of news shows and late night shows overnight and HGTV even sells some of its time to in half hour segments to really cheesy one-product sales pitches.

Sometimes I wish they'd just show the NBC peacock or the CBS eye the way they did in the 1950's and early 60's when there was no over4night programming.  At last then overnight radio was pretty good.

I understand the reasoning behind the concept of re-running programs, but it would be nice if QVC did the same as QVC2 and re-aired multiple different programs overnight. Money can be saved by not having to pay on-air talent all day long, and there's a better opportunity to get potential customers interested in buying things because a greater variety of items is being presented. This approach could also help to build the "relationship" with hosts that the Q seems so intent on having because it gives viewers more time watching and "getting to know" more people. (And a range of programs is also likely to keep existing viewers tuning in because they're already familiar with the QVC business model and typically want to spend more time browsing/shopping.)

With five out of seven hours in a block at the end of the day showing the same TSV programming, plus additional full hours featuring the TSV throughout the day, plus further presentations sandwiched into other shows, plus the ability to watch a full presentation of the TSV online at any time—in addition to the fact that virtually all TSVs are now available for more than one day—there has to be a tipping point just about every day where no one cares about or is watching the TSV at all, right? This seems like a marketing strategy that simply is not going to be viable in the long run. Let's hope QVC figures that out before it's too late.

Yes...yes...yes!!  Esp on West cost, being 3 hrs earlier.

why can’t they vary the programming vs looping the same hour over and over?
