I'm sure this has been suggested before, but I'll repeat it again.

Today, I'm thoroughly enjoying the St. Patrick's Day celebration with all the beautiful items made in Ireland.

How about on July 4th, you devote all the programming for that day to items made in the USA?

Re: QVC: Programming suggestion

So people can complain that the prices are too high or that the goods are not essentials?

Many people like to say that they prefer to buy American, but ultimately, many people choose3 to buy products made elsewhere because they are cheaper. For instance, look at the millions of pieces of Temp-tations sold by QVC while Fiestaware (made right here in the U.S.) could be purchased locally in almost any town. Maybe I am a cynic, but I am convinced people prefer quantity to quality.

Re: QVC: Programming suggestion

Sure there are people who may not want to spend more but there are also those who will - like me. I'll pay for quality any day. QVC already has several made in America items that they sell but they could sure use to sell more. I have also asked QVC to dedicate July 4th to a made in America day. Maybe this year, they might actually do it.

Re: QVC: Programming suggestion

Many complained about the prices on St Patrick's Day, so I don't think the pricing would be a big issue. As jbnh indicates, there are those (myself included) who would gladly pay more to support a "Buy America" day.
