The biggest difference i see between QVC and HSN  shipping processes is not whether they use a particular shipping agent(s) but it is that QVC receives an order and then takes about four-six days before they ship the order.  HSN is far different.  Yesterday i placed four orders on HSN.  They each went to ship status today and will be at my home Friday.  I suggest QVC study its sister company's front end shipping processes in order to speed up how quickly QVC customers receive their orders.

They should also study amazon.  If I see soemthing i like on QVC, I always go to amazon to see if I can get it there..free shipping (I have prime) and FAST.  I get everything within 2 days.   I would buy so much more at QVC if they could speed up their shipping and make it reasonable .  Usually it takes 10 days to get something from qvc.

For me, HSN's shipping is like the Pony Express.  Usually takes a week or more for me to get an order.  

They are much better than QVC, however, about processing returns.

@qvc2022I realize Prime offers more than "free" shipping, but once I caught up on  the Downton Abbey I'd missed, I found Prime cost me more than I spend on shipping here at the Q.   With what I order from QVC most costs just $3 to ship and I've also hit many items that ship free.  In all of 2016, I didn't spend $99 on shipping -  and I'm not nearly as disturbed as others about their timing, probably because I get more than 95% of my orders within 4 or 5 days.

As for QVC studying HSN's shipping -  I don't want anything they sell -  maybe if HSN improved their product mix I'd actually browse there.  But they disappointed me 3 times, so they'll really have to upgrade to attract me and fast shipping is low on my list.  I don't need all that much, so it's got to be what I really want before I'm in.

I agree.  I read how QVC hasn't been doing so well and I think they need to rethink their business strategy to be more competitive.  Gone are the days of tv shopping being the only alternative to catalogs. Other companies besides Amazon have really ramped up their shipping times. People are used to quick shipping so when QVC takes 7 to 10 days to get a package to a customer that is just not acceptable.

In terms of us AK or HI people, it would be nice if we could opt in to slower shipping.  I don't need my things in 3 days. I just want them to not cost 20 dollars.  I literally would wait a month to save money. I know what I want and I will wait. Also when you opt us out of free shipping, I understand.  But please at least reduct the standard shipping off our cost? Honestly it's only fair.

My experience with HSN shipping.

(As a side note, as long as my item is not lost or crushed during shipping I have no issues with delivery time.)

I ordered the Electronic pest control set on the evening of the 18th.  It scanned in on the 19th.  I received it at noon today.  If you count the day I ordered it, that is 10 days.

Back in the day things you ordered took 6-10 weeks. LOL!

About a week ago on my morning news it was said that the "Q" and HSN are merging.  I have been looking for further info. on this to no avail.  Does anyone know for sure if this is true, and if so when it is to take place?

They have merged..but QVC has owned part of HSN already...the merger will be concluded later this year...

Same here!  The Q could learn a lot from HSN.
