So, you pay a shipping fee to receive an order, then a shipping fee to return an order, then a fee for returning the item. I have returned items that netted $.91 refund. Now, if you google items on QVC, you can usually find the item at a less expensive price (sometimes on the vendor's website), no shipping to receive or return and no extra fee to return.

Consider that a blouse purchased and returned could cost $3.50, $3.50 and $6.00+ return fee for a total of $13.00 to try it on at home. Not convenient when you have to visit the post office to return it and not financially prudent. If there are 100,000 returns, QVC makes at least $600,000 on the returns due to the return fee alone. Then QVC resells the item and makes even more.

Basically, I am a fool to order from QVC because items are overpriced and the fees are RIDICULOUS. I am now using QVC just to preview what I may like and then buy it elsewhere at a lower price with free shipping to receive and return with no return fee. QVC is a complete rip-off. I know because I have ordered many, many items and have now faced the reality of this well-orchestrated program of scamming, not offering value as the the V in QVC purportedly stands for.

We need to wake up to how horrible this company is and how poorly they treat the vendors on air allowing the hosts to do their self-serving, fevered sales pitches whike interrupting or talking over talking over the vendor who actually knows and cares cares about the product. The hosts are infatuated with themselves, not the product.

WHILE I WAS TYPING THIS, I BECAME EVEN MORE CONVINCED THAT I HAVE BEEN A FOOL BUYING FROM QVC. THIS IS A NON-STOP MONEY MAKING MACHINE THAT IS NOW PROMOTING THE HOSTS WITH GLAMOUR SHOTS IN THEIR PROMOS

AS THOUGH THESE HOSTS ARE ACTORS OR MODELS ON TV PROVIDING ENTERTAINMENT INSTEAD OF PRESENTING PRODUCTS WITH IN-DEPTH INFORMATION THE CONSUMER NEEDS TO MAKE A PURCHASE.

ACCORDING TO THE CURRENT SALES MODEL, EVERYTHING SOLD ON QVC IS PERFECT SO THERE SHOULD BE NO RETURNS. THE REALITY IS THAT PRODUCTS THAT ARE FLAWED OR HAVE CHARACTERISTICS THAT WOULD MAKE THEM UNDESIRABLE, IF DISCLOSED, ARE PRESENTED AS THOUGH SUCH FLAWS DO NOT EXIST. IN MY OPINION. MISREPRESENTATION IS RAMPANT, NEGATIVE INFO ABOUT A PRODUCT DOES NOT EXIST AND, THEREFORE, SHOULD NOT CREATE LIABILITY FOR THE CONSUMER IN THE FORM OF FEES TO RETURN AN UNACCEPTABLE PRODUCT. SINCE THE HOST WILL NEVER MENTION A DRAWBACK ABOUT A PRODUCT WHEN ONE EXISTS, THE QUESTION BECOMES WHY IS IT NOT SCRUTINIZED BEFORE THE PRODUCT IS AIRED. MAYBE THAT PRODUCT SHOULD NEVER BE OFFERED. SO, THAT ADDRESSES THE Q IN QVC WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT QUALITY. THE HOST IS ENCOURAGED TO ACT APPEALING TO THE CONSUMER RATHER THAN OFFERING STRAIGHT FORWARD PRODUCT INFO. THAT IS THE HOOK. IF YOU LIKE THE HOST, YOU WILL BUY WHAT THEY PRESENT. IT IS A PRACTICE AS OLD AS TIME.

Just think about your own experiences and see whether QVC has your best interests at heart and is really a bargain for you. For me, QVC is not a reputable retailer.

@Jacrog.  There is no fee to return an order.  You are not refunded the original s&h fee, and you're charged postage to use the return label  You can pay for your own return if you prefer but it's usually more expensive to do so.  That's it, no other charges.

Your statements are exaggerated, but even so, why do you keep shopping at a store where you're so dissatisfied?  Please feel free to go elsewhere.

Perhaps you did not read my post fully. I use QVC to preview products I purchase elsewhere. And, yes, QVC DOES charge a return fee over and above the return label shipping charge.

This is not a debate.

"We need to wake up..." Who is this we?

I'm fully awake when I shop and before I do I always price compare before making a purchase.

I do believe there are a few inaccuracies in your rant, but I agree there are a few unwatchable host.

@Jacrog - Whether or not you believe this is a debate, you are posting in a public forum and your information is inaccurate. There is no additional fee for returning an item—you only pay for shipping to you from QVC and from you back to QVC. (And if the return was due to damage or defect, you get a refund of every penny paid.)

If you were charged more than the shipping costs, an error occurred somewhere in the process and you should call or chat with customer service or send an email with your order details to QVCSocialTeam@qvc.com for resolution.

@Jacrog I have made a few returns over the 38 years of shopping with QVC. I have NEVER been charged an additional "fee". Of course you pay shipping for the item,  they do not refund it, and you pay the return shipping charge, which for me has always been cheaper than paying return shipping myself. If you use easy pay they are not going to return the full amount of an item that you have only paid for partially.

Like @Kachina624 and @Etoile308 said, I am fully aware of pricing. I am aware of where else I can shop, and I have never made a purchase in my sleep. I have been very satisfied with my QVC purchases 98% of the time. Most shoppers here are very savvy and I believe they know their options.

@Kachina624  is correct.
Not sure what you mean by preview products, but there is NO return fee other than your original shipping and handling (deducted from the refund ) and the return shipping for using the return label (usually $6.99) also deducted from the refund.  If the product returned was on ezpay, you may indeed get back a very small amount.  There is no restocking fee.

Also, I have no issues shopping at QVC.  Been here for probably 30 years and buy a lot.  No issue with customer service or anything else.  If I return something, I use the label and know I will pay for the label plus the deduction of the original s&h.

And of course there is a profit on s&h, just like most other retailers that charge for shipping.  "Non stop money making machine"---I certainly hope so.

I suppose it's the way "you look at things".     I would have to pay  approximately the same amount in GASOLINE as I would in SHIPPING, just to go to the nearest fashion shopping mall.

@Jacrog @Desertdi @Kachina624 I am Canadian.  One of the big shopping channels here charges a return shipping fee AND a restocking fee.  I don't shop there anymore for that reason.  I think they lost many customers when they started doing that.

@Jacrog  -  As others have already stated, there is no additional return fee of 3.50.
