Product specific - view only

Although having sub-categories for popular products is fun for the forum members, it creates quite a distraction on the normal "feed" of discussions. Solution: Could we have the product-specific sub-categories be a "view only"? Much like Viewpoints are (vs Beauty Banter example). And since these boards has an active moderator, he/she could move any thread from the Beauty Banter (example) that's clearly product specific to the sub-category for which it was intended.
