A few observations:
1. Moderators are considered employees and have been badged in order to post etc. (see Standards). I also know this from a conversation with the Social Team;
2. There are many many forums where the moderator is able to edit posts, and as someone else noted, they are required to explicitly identify that they have edited a post, and
3. Thank you dooBdoo to attempt to have this clarified as it applies to the Q BB. It is a legitimate question given that public boards have such varied rules with respect to this.

@Adelina I called the QVC Office of the President, and I was told the Community moderators are not QVC employees. Moderators are employees of a third party vendor. QVC customer service reps stated that QVC employees can't remove posts from this forum because it's not moderated by QVC.

Thanks for that @wildcat fan. Seems that confusion abounds within the organization!

My understanding, dooboo, is the same as yours, but I have to say, at this point, nothing they're apparently sanctioned to do would any longer surprise me...

It gives me a chance to look the message over, make changes, and then post. Perhapsothers have had that happe and that is what hsa started the "rumor". This typically happes when I copy and paste from something else using control c control v.
If that is where that came from, it doesn't say it changed any wording in the message. It says that there is invalid HTML code. My message words were never changed. The program just read some code incorrectly.
This is that wording: Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied.

Hi Everyone,
QVC employees will never edit a post without making it very clear that the post was edited by a QVC employee who is authorized to participate in the forums. The approved employees include the following: QVC Social Team, QVC Customer Care Team, QVC Community Team.
If there is a post that goes against the standards, the post is removed. We will never edit a post to make the post comply with standards. We will remove the post and explain the reason for the removal with the hope of explaining what is not permitted going forward.
I hope this clears up any confusion about QVC editing forum posts.
