@Eva-QVC wrote:Hello @brandy77 - Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry you have had this problem. I sent your message along to our returns department. Thanks again for letting us know and have a great day.
@brandy77 wrote:QVC please stop charging for return labels when they aren't actually used. I know you get a high volume of returns, but since you offer people the option to return on their own, care should be taken not to charge them for a label they haven't used. Yes, I know I can contact customer service and get the charge removed but I shouldn't have to do this every single time. I even paperclip a note to the return slip asking them please not to charge for the label, that I returned at my own expense, but no one ever pays any attention.
@Eva-QVC Letting the higher-ups at QVC no has done me no good for years when talking to Cust. Serv. about this. I've written many times on this board about being charged for return labels I haven't used but have paid my own postage which is much cheaper. It's easy to prove you didn't use a label - there is a return tracking link with your order that tracks a return label - there should be no tracking back information there and there never is because I don't use the labels. Why does QVC keep making this error? It's been going on for years and years and they darn well know about it. It is unjust enrichement on QVC's part - ripping people off right and left for deducting charges for that return postage when that label hasn't been used.
Again, Eva, it's been going on for years and I've called dozens of times about it and the CS rep is never surprised by it and always says he or she will "send an email to corpporate" but nothing ever changes. They still do it. I've taken to writing on my return receipts in the Comment section "I did NOT use your return label" which seems to have helped some, but I shouldn't have to do this. QVC has routinely been deducting the return postge on my orders for years - I have to watch my return amount like a hawk so as not to get ripped off.
To the OP, it doesn't matter whether you have your return label in hand or not - you can always print one off the 'net from your order information if something has happened to your original one sent with your item. Cust. Serv. knows that so having one in hand is not your proof that you didn't use it. However, there should be absolutely no return tracking information if you didn't, which the CS rep can easily click a link to see. And as you say, your postage receipt from the PO for your return and your own USPO tracking number.

@brandy77 I've stopped wasting my time writing extra notes on the return labels. I've also stopped adding in/clipping an extra post it note too because NO ONE READS THEM in the returns department.
My best recourse is to send an email to the Q from the 'contact us' area. I will always get a response back from someone who actually reads my emails, sends me a timely response back AND I usually will get good results. This is what I suggest you do in the future.
ANd don't call CS on this issue either - this does nothing either. They can't or won't help you out. All they say is 'I'm sorry'. Doesn't get you anything nor anywhere.
@Eva-QVC And to you Ms Eva saying that infamous 'thanks, I'll pass your info onto the returns dept' to you I say - are you kidding us???? Again, NO ONE in returns reads anything, and GETS NONE OF THIS !!! I'm truly convinced no one in the returns dept even knows how to read, they prove this to us time and time again. So STOP apologizing AND DO SOMETHING so WE DO NOT NEED TO CONTINUE TO BRING UP THESE TYPES OF ISSUES WITH THE RETURNS DEPARTMENT.
How many times do we have to report WE ARE SICK OF THIS???!!!

@Desertdi wrote:I doubt they are doing this on purpose. It's probably a posting error at the receiving department.
I also doubt they are doing it 'on purpose' but it happens ALL the time. It is posted regularly here that you must police your return credit to be sure you are getting the full amount due.
I always use a big 'ole marker and handwrite the Q address. Don't use a label of any kind...yet $6.95 is deducted. I also put HUGE notes stapled to my return slip inside...still happens.
Q obviously HAS a problem in the returns department that NEEDS to be corrected.

Several years ago, I had a conversation with a Customer
Service rep. I was explaining to him that I wrote a message on the return form. He told me...exact words...no one reads those return forms!!

I think a Philadelphia Enquirer investigative reporter should do a story on QVC ripping people off charging needlessly for that return shipping paper. Then maybe QVC would do something about it.

This has been going on for a long time with returns. I figure QVC sees it as an opportunity to make extra income so why fix it. People complain and nothing is done. It does not reflect well on QVC as a company to let this go on.

Knock on wood I've not had it happen with QVC but I have had it happen with Evine so QVC isn't the only one doing this.

So what? Two wrongs don't make a right.

When I send a return back to QVC on my bill- I make sure there are no upc codes anywhere on the paperwork! That includes the address label, the invoice or any realted paperwork, ANYTHING. I haven't had a problem since- although it makes more work for Q's return areas because they can't jsut scan in the return when received. .
