Please More Small , XS Sizes In All Brands!

For the past year, I've noticed all smaller sizes, especially in petites, sell out... very quickly.  I can wear both petite and regular sizes...

As a frequent customer, I've seen this in Susan Graver, Denim & Co, Isaac, Belle,  Barefoot Dreams, Peace Love World, CuddlDuds, etc., as well as the special guest vendors.

So it is a top level buyer issue, not the vendors'.

As one of the growing number on a "weight loss journey",  it has become a little frustrating ordering from Q.

The company is missing the mark on this no longer "emerging" market...and they've had 2 years + knowing about it.

Please provide us with the new normal quantity of small sizes so we can all celebrate our new possibilities!

Yes! I totally agree. I can wear XS tops but sometimes need XXS. Both sizes sell out so quickly.

No mystery.  XXS & XS sells out quickly (especially in unusual but attractive colors) I would think QVC doesn't stock as many as in larger sizes. I'm petite and I'm usually in XXS and sometimes XS.

@LavendarBlue Honestly, I believe it's because of vanity sizing by QVC. Like you, I'm an XXS or XS in both regulars and petites. In addition to all the ladies that wear these sizes normally, there are so many garments that a Small and/or Medium size lady will have to go down a size or two. I read many reviews where it is suggested to go down a size. So, it really limits the availability of the smallest sizes. Sometimes, the smallest offered is an XS and that can be a little too big.

On a side note: I am NOT an XXS or XS in brick and mortar stores.

When sizes sell out, it creates demand.  They do the same thing with their exclusive colors.  I think they know which color is going to be popular and they purposely buy fewer in that color so it sells out quickly.  You would think, that since the setup of different sizes or colors costs more, they would capitalize on that and make more, but instead, it seems they make fewer.

Re: Please More Small , XS Sizes In All Brands!

As I've lost both weight and height, I've had increasing trouble finding clothes that fir me, especially bottoms.  The problem is definitely not just  here at QVC.  I have never bought any where near the majority of my clothes from QVC but finding small petities locally has also become very difficult.  At the local shop I once depended on for every day clothes, the prices have soared, and if I wait for sales, the small petites will be gone.

I do know many companies that used to have separate petite departments no longer do.  Talbot's used to devote an entire store to petites in the mall near me.  Now there's almost nothing in the local store, and nothing I'd be willing to buy and pay to have it tailored.  Last I checked both Nordstrom and Macys had also eliminated their separate petite departments.

Fortunately I no longer need or want a massive new wardrobe, but finding nothing certainly doesn't satisfy.

Seems like they have an excess of small sizes.  I go through pages of clearance items and find clothes only available in small sizes.

I've noticed that on QVC sizes at both the smallest and largest tend to sell first.

Yes, I think you're right about the many reasons for the quick sellouts in XS & XXS.  Great insights...
I now wearing the same range of Q sizes you mentioned.  ( In the future I imagine more women will be in that size range.) And as you mentioned, I am an S at brick & mortar stores.
I have turned more and more often lately to other sources online, due to the consistency of low stock in Q's smallest sizes.

Most of my shopping for tops is in stores, not QVC as they are also too long.  I mostly shop at Banana Republic , J. Crew, etc.   Banana Republic average in regular at 24"
