The British use "on the day", but QVC USA is not British. I never heard it used before QVC.  It sounds very incorrect to me.  

 

 

 


I lived in England for 20 years and never heard that phrase until I started hearing here on QVC.  None of my British friends or family say that either, so I'm not sure where it's come from.

Webster's Dictionary said it was British.  Never heard any use it either.
