Okay ...... It's happened a few times .....
QVC sends out emails announcing a "Flash Sale, right now, hurry up and shop!" notice and, while that time frame may be good for those living on the east coast, some of us on the west coast might still be asleep! Think about that.
A couple weeks ago I was getting up, drinking coffee, checking emails .... and, by the time I saw the email, there was a mere 7 minutes left on that QVC flash event.
Seven minutes? Why even bother to attempt to shop before the cut off?
I am assuming QVC wants ALL their customers aware of sales and happily shopping, if they so choose, so perhaps whomever decides the TIME FRAME of these sales will realize that what may be fine on the east coast won't be great for us where it's three hours earlier.
I've no idea what the considerations are for these sales. I just hope someone at QVC that is involved in the scheduling of these things gives this some thought. I've no doubt that sales are being lost due to poor timing.
JMO, of course.

Well I didn't get any email but I was watching so I heard well in advance. It's just one of those circumstances where you're either there or not.

Uh ... Maybe not. Since their objective is to generate interest - and a spike in sales - I would think they'd want many of their customers "there".

Yes, it's called being in the right place at the right time. That's too bad.

I guess it's the same thing as with the TSVs. Some on the East Coast miss out because they're in bed at 12am when the TSV is aired. People on the West Coast get first crack because it's 9pm when the TSV is aired.

I live on the east coast and never get emails regarding flash sales so it's just a certain group of customers at a time that must receive these.

Except that a TSV is for a 24 hour period, QVC usually has large quantities on hand, and most of the time we know what the TSV is going to be and can check it out beforehand.
