I'm not sure how to even spell it, but if I hear one more host or vendor say "Juzz Up the Sleeves" I think my head will explode!!!

Petty? - Probably, but it just grates on my last nerve.

What happened to simply saying PUSH the sleeves of the shirt, top, dress, jacket, etc. up?

OK, I feel better, now that I got that off my chest. Smiley Very Happy

Re: PLEASE Stop Saying Juzz Up!

Zhush.  It's a verb that means the same as primp or rejuvenate.

Re: PLEASE Stop Saying Juzz Up!

First time I remember hearing that was years ago when Lisa Robertson used it in her Christmas shows while demonstrating how to rejuvenate decorations.  I admit to using it every Christmas and DD and GD have picked up on it too.  Never heard it used for anything else.

I always thought Carson Kressley started the phrase on "Q*eer Eye".  That's where I first heard it.

@LavernLuvsShoes It's silly. It just mean push the sleeves up.

DH and I first heard this phrase YEARS ago on Queer Eye For The Straight Guy and Carson was the one who used to say it!

No matter how you spell it, it is a way of life for me!  Can't stand long sleeves on my arms.  Weird? OK.  But I can always zhush them up.

@geezerette   Could have been, I was only saying where I first heard it

Re: PLEASE Stop Saying Juzz Up!

I learn a lot on these Boards. Never heard it before, can't even pronounce it so I won't even try.  Does nothing for me but I will push up my sleeves when needed.
