When I'm watching the Q many, many times measurements are not posted, nor does the host include them in his or her sales pitch.  Tonight I ordered a Mizrahi robe only to get on this site and find out that it was going to be way too long for me. When you have a 5'10" model wearing it, you're not too sure if it's going to be too long on you.

I also ordered 2 Logo cardigans in 2 different sizes because no chest measurements were posted or given by Shawn.  After I cancelled the robes for being too long, I found that the size L top was going to be too small, but the size XL was going to be huge since it was 48".  If I'd known I would have saved myself the time of having to go on the net, log in, look up the garment, check under "click here" only to find that neither of the items would work for me.

I find myself cancelling more and more things because measurements are not given. I also find that I'm not ordering as many things because I'm tired of looking up the items or more importantly, sending them back.

I posted a similar rant over in 'Fashion'. I wanted the Susan Graver sweater, but, when I went to determine the chest size all I got was seamstress information.

I fired off a email to the Q about how some of their measurements for the Susan Graver & Isaac tops are not understandable to the average person.

I can't afford to pay for shp twice. I'll just drive to the Mall.

QVC used to provide these measurements on screen as a matter of course.  It's never been clear why QVC thought it had to stop or cut back.  I never see length anymore and that is always critical to me.  Chest measurements are sometimes there, sometimes not.  Also important.

I seem to remember Jayne Brown having the responsibility regarding the changing of the sizing info.  Suddenly things were "oversized", "slightly fitted", "form fitting" etc. and the Garment Chest sizing and length were no longer needed (she said).

To me, this was a catastrophe .... there was no way to tell if the garment would fit me.  I know my Garment Chest sizing and that's what I refer to in order to get a reasonable fit.  That was then gone.  There was a huge uproar from customers regarding it, I don't think people responded to the change very well and perhaps sales went down because of it (I'm assuming). I know no longer purchased.  I couldn't.... it was a cr*p shoot....

Even now I will go on line and check what they have for the Garment Chest sizing and I've been burned more than once because it is just flat out wrong!

But I believe that's when the change occurred.  They've slowly put the sizing back on the screen over time but not on everything.... and they should.  It's a reasonable request.....

Re: PLEASE Start Giving Chest and Length Measurements.

It was Jayne Brown who convinced the PTB that giving measurements was no longer necessary.  She even bragged about it on air.  Very proud of herself about the change.  Oh well, more money in my pocket.  I very seldom buy anything from QVC in the way of clothing.  No measurements, no money from me!

Re: PLEASE Start Giving Chest and Length Measurements.

Heard back from customer service that I had emailed this morning:

Thank you for emailing QVC.

Thanks for letting us know about your experience. There's always room to
improve, and we value your honest opinion. We appreciate your bringing this
to our attention. I'll be happy to forward your suggestion to the
appropriate area.

It has been a pleasure assisting you. Thank you for shopping with QVC!

Best regards,

@SharkE

I once received a similar email (don't remember my issue), but when I asked for specifics...which appropriate area and when could I expect a response...IIRC there was no response.

I'm with you...I want as many actual garment measurements as possible.  While I can do the work of "2 front panels x 2 plus back," I don't really want to do all that work.  Nor do I want to have to translate HPS or xback 5/5.5" blahblahblah.

Re: PLEASE Start Giving Chest and Length Measurements.

Yeah, I got a conversation going over in Fashion forum too. Mods don't miss to much they should see it.

Guess I can call corporate. I called them once and a problem got fixed.
