Re: PLEASE STOP WITH THESE SAYINGS

Oh yeah, Someone ( not sure who, you didn't mention anyone in particular) is going to immediately tell the host's not to use phrases that you don't like.

Re: PLEASE STOP WITH THESE SAYINGS

Those don't bother me although I will say that I don't watch very much, most of the hosts and the "regular" vendors get on my nerves...they all seem to be in a talking contest to see who can out-talk the other. What does bother me is when they start saying, "this will be a perfect holiday gift for _____".  I know this is a sales tactic but it makes me uneasy to keep hearing about getting gifts for the mailman, the milkman, the lady who walks her dog past your house, etc., etc. Woman LOL

It's hard to sell fall items without referencing something about fall.

I don't need someone to tell me where/when to wear my clothing.  I think I am aware of that.....most of us are.

If they didn't spend so much time on one presentation, they wouldn't have time for all that nonsense.

Re: PLEASE STOP WITH THESE SAYINGS

This is one post where I think everyone has a point to make that resonates with me. These apple and pumpkin picking tales are inevitable and annoying and they work. Before getting caught up in a "Hallmark movie" scenario I check my social calendar, closet and bank account for a dose of reality.

Or if they actually gave a detailed description and presentation of the product...

Re: PLEASE STOP WITH THESE SAYINGS

@Patriot3   Yes, that's exactly what I meant by my OP. Some folks on here apparently don't get it. Customers can't stand 15 mins for each item. If QVC listened to customers to shorten ALL presentations, then all the dumb "scenario playing" being used would be eliminated. It's just annoying that every item they all have to say about "pumpkin picking and apple picking."  We watch presentation to hopefully be told details about the item to see if it's something we'd like to purchase.

WoW, and I don't watch so I have no idea what they are saying but I did go to an apple orchard today, the apples were picked already so I couldn't go picking.

Pumpkins?   Nothing yet, just some painted one's on a wood board for your yard decorations.

I still think it may be too early for a pumpkin, if I buy a pumpkin too early, it rots.

If I put pumpkins out too early the squirrels have them completely shredded by the time the first leaf falls.  I have to wait til just before Halloween.

Just wait, before you even realize it, the pumpkin and apple thing will evolve into the "perfect to have in your gift closet season"!

Re: PLEASE STOP WITH THESE SAYINGS

the problem with the host is they have to describe the product and then they have the vendor describe it again, why do they have the vendor if they are going to describe the product ,is it necessary to hear it twice, three times,it could be shorter if you just let the vendor do there thing,so annoying..
