The President just mentioned this yesterday about how UPS drops pkgs. off at the P.O. and the P.O. makes nothing for delivery the Amazon, etc. packages.  Just wrong!!

The lady who does my route has boxes packed everywhere in her vehicle and delivers the heaviest things while UPS brings tiny boxes!

I have noticed that packages are sitting at the PO for 2 or 3 days lately. I figured that had to do with covid19. Maybe it's a man- or woman-power issue?

Not to open a firestorm here, but trump is NOT your expert on UPS or USPS, who is paying whom, why anybody thought this was a good idea in the first place, etc.

That subject was mentioned in yesterday's WH press conference.  WH asking the same question and said they are looking into it.

UPS costing PO money to make them deliver packages.

I hope they don't stop looking before they get to the part where UPS and FedEx transport mail and packages in their cargo planes for USPS.

Of course USPS could always invest in their own aircraft and support personnel and break away from the mutual contracts with UPS and FedEx completely.

Just imagine if USPS did that.  I've no doubt that USPS rates would have to significantly increase causing a real loss and not a manufactured one while UPS and FedEx rates would skyrocket to compensate for the loss of income from USPS but as long as it satisfies an agenda what the heck..

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.

Re: PACKAGE SITTING AT PO

[ Edited ]

Everybody and their brother is ordering online now.  Retailers often ship via parcel post which means it's the lowest priority mail and will sit until the postal service gets through overnight, priority, and 1st class mail.

Pay for the full UPS shipping if you want it faster.

Retailers charge too much for UPS shipping too.  I was a senior manager over a Fortune 500 company's incoming/outgoing mail dept for a while.  Large retailers have contracts with UPS, USPS, and FedEx.  It cost my company $2.50 to $5 to ship overnight or 2nd day depending on weight.

I have concluded that USPS, at the top, is not interested in fixing their problems. If they were it would have been done by now. As someone else mentioned, they keep raising costs and fix little, if anything.

My cousin delivers mail for the PO and this is what he told me. All the packages from Amazon get delivered first and if they have the room for the QVC package...then it will get delivered that day too....

Amazon gets first priority...

I've had the same problem. QVC indicates it was recieved at PO. PO told me they don't have the package.  After reading these posts, it seems like the PO can't keep track of packages.  This happened about a month ago.  After I called the PO 2 days in a row, and being told they didn't have the package,  it amazingly appeared.  So this time, I'm  hoping the same thing wil happen.   QVC  CS told me I can get a refund.  I'd prefer to have the item purchased. Based on multiple conversations with the PO, the impression i have, is they really don't seem to care, It's easier to place you on hold for over 30 minutes, in hopes you will give up and hang up.  IMHO

@Didiville

This happened to me too.  Tracking said package was transferred to local post office; local post office told me they never received it.  Post office also told me they are having problems with this lately; tracking not always correct.

That's just great! I placed an order on May 28th & it has been sitting in Albany,NY since June 10th. Todays is the 17th. I'm not blaming QVC but I would think they would inquire as to why their packages are not being delivered! I tried to email the PO & my message wouldn't go thru. It's just a blouse but Iwould still like to receive it!
