I'd like to suggest that we be able to received email notification not just when someone replies to a topic we start but when we're quoted in a reply AND be given the option of receiving email notification of any replies to any topic that we haven't posted on.

I would agree ONLY if I have the option NOT to receive emails. My in box already gets too much junk. I use the Notifications button to follow most of what you are asking for.

I would not want emails for every notification. I can check them out just fine when I am on the site. It would be nice if notifications could be triggered when our posts are quoted.

I'm confused why anyone would want notifications on every reply posted to every topic that they haven't posted on???

You want the option to get an email notification for ANY reply to ANY topic? I think that would just overwhelm your inbox, no?
