I would like to see the popup modifed so that when I click on it, it links right back to the post that is "hearted" not to the list of notifications.

There should  be a hyperlink directly to a post,

I would also like the ability to stay on the page that I have been reading after I reply to a post. It's frustrating to have to do extra work to get back to that page.

Hi, @bebe777!  Try this:

1 -- If you're still within the thread after submitting your response, you'll see this toward the top of the screen:

 
"Success!  Click to go to your post."

 
Click/tap on "Click to go to your post" and it will take you directly to the post you submitted.

2 -- If you're moved out of the thread after submitting a post, 

to remain in the thread you need to change your settings.

Go to "My Settings," and then "Preferences."

Scroll down and uncheck "Show confirmation pages for posts."

Scroll down and click "SAVE."
