Re: No more former host posts

I generally look at only a few topics on these forums and pick and choose within those what to read.

Most of the time, I ignore the posts about prior hosts.  They were just salespeople and not my friends or family.  I wish them well but have no desire to know what they're doing or how well they're doing.

@Trinity11  I agree with you 100% about the baiting.  The person who starts the LR threads knows exactly what they are doing.    I think the person delights in seeing the responses and knows how to rile up the crowd.  Almost every post started by that person is closed even if sometimes it takes many posts before the mods close it.  That op almost never makes a topic or joins in any other topic other than anything about LR.   I think it's a topic that has been beaten to death and QVC should put an end to it.

I used to think those threads were baiting, but I've changed to believe that it's Lisa or one of her helpers. Notice how positive and timely they are.  The threads always pop up when she's posted new merchandise or info.  Whoever it is...I find those threads more entertaining than the multiple threads about the royal family.

Another reason I think it's Lisa or someone close to her is that the threads are allowed to continue here.  There's another website that's had to ban all mention of her.  If Lisa didn't want the publicity here, she or her peeps would come forward to have her name banned here like they did on the other website.

There haven't been any threads lately about Patti Reilly.  Wonder how she's doing.

@ValuSkr Patti Reilly works for It Cosmetics.  She appears to be doing great. She appears on QVC UK, and The Shopping Channel in Canada.

If you go to either site, you can see her presenting It Cosmetics in several product videos.

I'd read that Patti is working for It Cosmetics, but I didn't think to look for videos online.  Thanks for sharing that @Caaareful Shopper. She looked fabulous the last time I saw photos of her.

Re: No more former host posts

The more I think about @brandiwine's suggestion, the more I understand the point. Perhaps, it's time for QVC to stop the threads about Lisa R.  As much as I've enjoyed reading them, they do tend to turn negative and that goes against what they're trying to achieve with this community. Plus, it makes QVC look bad.  Who wants a former employer maintaining a negative online forum about them?  Sure, there's free speech and freedom not to read, but ultimately it's QVC sponsoring negative content about a former employee, and that just doesn't look right for business.  Of course, the positive posts show there are no ill feelings when they parted ways, but the Lisa threads usually turn sour, so there is a negative effect.  I would totally understand if the moderators and QVC management decided to make former hosts an off-limits topic.

@wildcat fan:  I certainly understand what you & the OP are saying but then we'd miss hearing about Lisa Mason, Kathy Levine, Dan Wheeler & others also.  I guess I hope that the posts can contiue.

These posts always seem to get nasty.  If I want to know what a former host is doing I can check out twitter, facebook, or just do a search.  Re-hashing what someone thinks are "glory days" is nothing but an argument waiting to happen.  Can't we concentrate on the here and now?  As many have been discussing, the ugly is getting old.

Why are people always trying to control what is posted here? If you don't want to read about former hosts, scroll on by.

There are people who will regularly attack anyone who starts a thread they think shouldn't be here.....certain celebrities should be off-limits....according to them....and so on......

I don't get it. No one has to be here, no one has to read certain threads........

If I see a thread about something that doesn't interest me, I just don't read it......PROBLEM SOLVED.

I agree. I cannot control the behavior of others, but I can control my own.

Considering how many replies they get I’d say people love them. Gives them a chance to be catty. Always the same people.
