Not just this item, but also other items that have several different functions. Please explain and demonstrate those functions.
I just watched a presentation for this item, and never a mention of what setting was used for each item shown. And I would specifically like to see demos of the steam function and the sous vide function.
It looked to me like everything presented except the bread could be done on the slow cook setting, so what is so special about that?

i think sometimes the host need to ask the right questions, to steer the demonstration. They also need to have the right foods out, to show functions.
HSN just had a smaller version, of this for a TS. they showed lots of dishes/functions.

@10sluvr , I think the presenters come with canned presentations. So, QVC needs to tell them they need to change their canned presentation ahead of time to include demonstrating all the functions.
Have you ever listened to some of these presenters? I specifically think about the Keurig lady or the Temptations lady. They talk exactly the same, running through their spiel at breakneck pace, barely taking time to take a breath. It's totally memorized.
The thing is, probably 90% of the cooking public has a slow cooker. So, why demonstrate the one function we all know how to use?
The ability to sear in a multi-cooker isn't new either. I have a Wolfgang Puck multi-cooker that does that. And i can set the temperature on it too, so even though it doesn't say it does all these things the Ninja does, I'm not so sure it won't by just using the functions it has and setting the temp. I'm not sure off the top of my head what the low and high temps are though.
They say it does sous vide, but I'm wondering does it actually circulate the water or do you just fill it up and set the temp you want?

I completely agree. These are important questions that surely should be discussed, especially if they don't want a bunch of returns.

@WORKING GAL That's not really the point. QVC is trying to sell these products, so the onus should be on them to demo the functions. It shouldn't be that hard to do especially since they always have multiple machines set up. If it is, then maybe it's not as foolproof a device they claim it to be. Plus, the first sentence in my OP included all multifunction products, not just Ninja's.
