New lower ship rates - slower delivery

Not sure how most of you feel about new lower shipping - yes it is nice, but I placed an order Monday morning for a pair of sandals - it just left their warehouse today!!! In the past it would have been already on it's way. Now it is not scheduled to deliver until 3/11.... I have written to customer service in the past regarding this - and no real answer except - they are doing their best to get items out. I would rather pay a few dollars more and get the item faster. I don't recall the hosts mentioning the delivery times as much with new rates. I guess I have learned if I order something - I better plan on 2 weeks before I receive it. Sorry, just had to vent a little... anyone else having this issue? Thanks.{#emotions_dlg.sad}

Re: New lower ship rates - slower delivery

My orders have always taken forever and although I've only placed one order since the new rate, it appears they still do. So no, no changes here- not any faster or slower, still just slow.

Re: New lower ship rates - slower delivery

So, it has taken longer for items to ship when much of the country has been impacted by severe weather -- including the largest UPS facility on the planet. In addition to shiping companies being impacted, so have warehouses (which ship the orders) and call centers (which take the orders). Sandals are not a matter of life or death, and if they were, I would assume you would have sourced them locally. In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter?

Re: New lower ship rates - slower delivery

The past few weeks deliveries have been all over the place for me. I attribute it mostly to the weather. (That feeling might change after the weather normalizes). Our regular mail delivery has been inconsistent and even UPS couldn't deliver one day recently. I would guess that some warehouse personnel can't even get to work, depending on where they live. A truly dreadful winter…..I sure hope it's finally over.

It's probbaly the weather.

The guarantee is 7-10 business days. If it takes longer than that you then would have grounds for complaint.

I also think the weather has affected many of those attempting to get items shipped across the country. I wonder, what is the hurry? We are becoming a nation of immediate wants. Every time I find myself hurrying, I think this----Unrush Me.
