....sharing personal information in order to sell things. That way the customers won't feel like they can inquire about a host's personal life and info.

I don't believe that makes a difference. Some of us know that just because part of a story is offered, the rest is not ours to inquire about. Others don't mind asking strangers with a visible disease what's wrong with them. Every mixed-race or Asian person I know has a story to tell about an acquaintance or complete stranger who's asked "what are you" or "where are you from" and meant what race or country are you from, because they can't imagine a non-white person being born in the same hospital they were born in. And even I've been asked by strangers if red hair runs in my family or if I'm Irish because I have red hair. (It does not not because my red hair came out of a box, but I am Irish.)
Some people are always going to ask personal questions and it won't matter what the hosts say, so I'm all for them sharing whatever information they are comfortable sharing. The problem is NOT with the hosts, it's with the people who feel entitled to know things that are not their business.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------When I would take my first born out in the stroller (he has red hair, I'm olive complexion, dark brown hair, then) people would stop & ask all kinds of ?'s, I would just reply "RUST"

You can't say Sha wn has no fashion sense and likes to act like she is 12 or Cortney looks pregnant but they can say anything to sell. Isn't that a conflict of Q standards.

It's really not a big deal, is it?

You honestly can't see the difference between saying a woman looks pregnant when she isn't and a host telling you about her vacation or her pets to sell you something? If that's the case, the problem lies with you and not QVC's policies.

That's like saying you can't honestly see Shaw n clutching her hands together saying that this piece of jewelry will make all the difference in the world to a dying woman and her not knowing anything about the merchandise she is selling or upstaging hosts, vendors and anybody she works with stupid antics. Please don't box me into a corner or label me. So tired of the dumbing of women. If I want that I will tune into the Kardashians.
