More Air Time to Varied Faith-Based Jewelry

It seems that Christian-based jewelry is heavily touted. It would be generous and consider to give other faith-based jewelry sold at the Q to have air time.

QVC airs items that appeal to the largest number of viewers. While they occasionally have aired jewelry of other faiths, these do not sell nearly as well as the Christian jewelry due to both QVC's viewing audience and sheer percentage of Christians in this country.

Additionally, bear in mind that with some faiths, they already have sources for religious jewelry and these sources would likely continue to remain the primary source regardless of availability on QVC. For instance, many Jews would opt to support their local community by shopping for religious jewelry at a synagogue gift shop or a Judaica store rather than a shopping channel.

It's all about volume and sadly, that's become more or less their exclusive focus. The Q used to offer more options to 'niche markets' but increasingly they don't. Instead, it's just the same things shown over and over and almost nothing they don't assume will sell in volume makes the cut, which explains why the offerings have become so mundane and viewing nearly impossible. They do though offer some lovely Stars of David for Jewish customers.

I agree with you Stevieb, but I don't think things will change. And in the Christian jewelry, seems all they know how to do is make a cross and show it turned 60 different ways. Not very creative I must say. For a talented person, there are many new things a person could make and sell on the Q. I always see nice items of many different faiths in catalogs and stores, then I wonder why the Q can't find a good source for the same. But then I also wonder if they even really try.
