I agree,I mean... what else are they doing?

That's a lot of reading (there must be over
30 forums if you include the ones under My
Favorite Brand) and then they moderate
the Blogs, plus don't you
think they have other job duties other than
scanning posts and reading and responding
to "report inappropriate" button and
answering email, and they research and
answer customer service and product info on
theads too?
I don't know, I'm just asking.

I simply stated a few facts, deliberately worded, and I stand they were not argumentative. I have challenged this. The moderation here is sometimes sketchy, and I feel some moderators may need some additional training. And we all have seen some posters who manage to always derail threads, but seem to get away with it, time after time. Different rules for different people? I don't know. But there is a problem. All I can hope for is fairness here.
I, too, have been occasionally censored for, IMHO, innocuous comments. I tend to be direct and to-the-point, but I deliberately avoid being rude or unkind. I have come to the conclusion there is preferential leniency for some posters, particularly those with higher rankings. Some "respected" posters are not so respectful.
@IamMrsG and @PamfromCT
I think there's major unevenness in how they moderate and
some posters get away with A LOT of things but it never
gets stopped.

Currently, there's a gun control thread in Community Chat. Posts are being deleted for being argumentative, but if you think about it, gun control is a controversial and political topic. Odd how they weed out singular comments when the original post is seemingly a violation of standards. If they have read the entire thread, they would see there's more going on there than a couple of argumentative posts.
I'm going to guess that they rely on reports. I know when I modded we always did. We also locked down threads we were tired of babysitting, removing specific posts will only last so long. A lot of posters know dang well what they should not post but do anyway. Most of those threads do end up getting locked.
Really good points

The moderators are arbitrary, presumptuous and too quick to posit their own opinions. I suspect they are young people who've never held any job with any kind of power before,
Poof! watch their magic at work when they delete this!
Well it's still here 3 days later lol.

@IamMrsG wrote:Instead of shutting down so many threads, I suggest they shut down the problem posters. If you pay attention, it doesn't take long to recognize a pattern of the same nicknames in the threads that get quelled. It might be better if moderators locked out posters, even if just on the threads they are jeopardizing, so others could continue to converse in peace.
^^^^^this.

It is very disheartening to see your posting go POOF, with a stated reason that doesn't even make sense. While I am not one of the great minds of the Western World, I am fairly intelligent, am well informed, and form my opinions from rational thought. I don't name-call. I (like most others) have something to say, something to bring to the table, so to speak. Oh well, I am going to try to stick to pet posting, spiritual postings, anything I can add to someone who needs help, and a very friendly and supportive group of posters. There are so many wonderful people here.

I agree with you OP and if they did, perhaps they wouldn't be so quick... or so uneven... on the trigger finger.
