Re: Moderators - please explain "Contributor" designations... ?

My vote (which is worth 2 cents lol) is not

to explain the designations my vote is

to DROP them since they don't help us

and they're a big irritation to some

posters.

I like the hearts to say quickly

"I agree with the post".

Re: Moderators - please explain "Contributor" designations... ?

This morning, I logged into this forum and noticed that I moved up to Trusted. I am not on this forum as much as I used to be.

Basically, this process of hearts is a popularity contest. It reminds me of the Queen Bees in Middle School and how this effects young girls. In fact, I am on facebook and friends with a woman that was once a bit of a bully in middle school. The friends thing is more of a courosity of how she turned out. Fortunately, we went to different high schools.

This past summer, I was on the forums but not for products. Rather because of the Big Brother Show. There was a man that began a new post every morning about what had happened overnight. I don't think that there is a category high enough for him because he must have received more hearts that anyone that I am aware of.

I always learned that quality was more worthwhile verses quantity. Perhaps, it would make sense if designations assigned were based of a percentage. Therefore, it wouldn't matter how many posts you made but rather the percentage of people that hearted it.

Re: Moderators - please explain "Contributor" designations... ?

I do not care about the titles.....the only time I notice the titles is when someone seems to be particularly cruel or overly sensitive to a brand they love.....then sometimes I notice they are Super or Valued and then it becomes....."things that make you go hmmmmm?", I am like what makes them valued or super when I think they are caddy, callous or rude?????
