It has been my understanding as well as others that there are two absolute no-nos on the QVC forums - politics and religion. Yet moderators, while they zap most political threads and posts very quickly, rarely if ever delete religious proselytizing and sermonizing posts in threads where they are off-topic.
It has been suggested by posters that anyone who doesn't want to be subjected to proselytizing and sermonizing should avoid Among Friends (where moderators currently "suggest" that such threads and posts go) altogether. Since religion is a topic that QVC has said is off-limits as much as politics, this does not appear to be in line with fairness.
I hope that QVC and the @Community_Team give serious consideration to a Forum of Faith, where such posts will be expected and welcome - and that posts which are made elsewhere on the forums, where they are off-topic, be removed or moved.
I do not mean to suggest that any and all posts that mention religious beliefs fall into this category. But some posters are so...enthusiastic...that they will never care that a line has been crossed as far as appropriateness within a thread. And to this point, moderators have let every such post stand.
I should think that a Forum of Faith would be welcomed. A place where those interested would be welcome, and simple to pass by for those not interested.

Moony, @Moonchilde
Are you requesting this so you are not offended when reading 'religious views' in other forums ... or are you going to participate?

Some people are so intolerant of others. If you don't like religious topics don't read them. Simple solution.

I think what she was saying is that if topics about religion are going to be allowed here, those who wish to post about this should have a place where they don't have to parse their words or where they might come under attack. I thought she had a good idea that was more about empathy than intolerance.

If there is to be a faith forum then there should also be a political forum

Thank you, @gardensla.
I expected the snarky, baiting posts, and got them of course. But I'm glad someone else gets it.

Fair enough. I wouldn't be visiting, but it would be fair to have one - with caveats that participation might get rough.

FTR, I am for both a faith and politics forum.
However, what I am not in favor of, is a "safe haven" faith or politics forum where no one can post something that isn't in line with what the majority believe.
And I feel this way about ALL the forums. I don't think the Linea forum should be only for "fangirls" of Linea. A fantasy land where no one dare speak ill of The Designer.
BUT, if we're going to make these thread (politics and faith) "safe havens," then we need to make all of the "Brand" threads safe havens as well.
Meaning, only nice posts allowed.
However, I don't think the moderators have enough time to police those thread (or enough chocolate chip cookies; o)

Not a good idea.

ITA. This doesn't even make sense. They specifically don't want religious or political discussions here for so many reasons.
I'm absolutely certain that there are MANY religious boards out there in internetland. This is a retailer's board and it has no place here.
Those of us who have been here over 10 years remember the political/current events forum they once had. It was pretty messed up, of course and as usual, due to a few bad apples. There are even more bad apples now and nobody wants to be preached at.
