Can someone explain to me what height and garment size have to do with one another......they have the models reveal their height along with the size garment they are wearing....to me one has nothing to do with the other!!

They are trying to give you an idea what the garment would look like if you are that height and in that size. Many of us don't fit into that category that is for sure. At least for me. I am not 5'9 or even close. In fact I don't even know anyone who wears an xxs. Go figure. lol

Height affects where a hem will fall on the body.  A tunic on someone 5'9" will probably fall just below the hip, but on someone my height at 5'2" will fall about mid-thigh.

Re: Models sizing...

[ Edited ]

Having that info tells me that there is no way my 5ft 4in body will look good compared to a model of the same size who is 5in taller than me.   I may be short compared to them but I do not have the torso length for a petite.  I wish they would not tell us to buy slacks and dresses in a petite if we need a shorter length.  The rise is different and the bust darts are also.  I appreciate it on the rare occasion that they ask the models the actual inseam they are wearing in inches.  Some tall models have chosen to wear regular pants even when tall was available.  Some models have said that they have long legs, others have a short torso.  Same as the rest of us.  I enjoy when the models are allowed to discuss an item as they can give helpful info.

I disagree.   It's irrelevant.   I'm 5'5" but I can wear petite tops because I am so short-waisted.    But I can't wear petite bottoms, my legs are too long. I know women 5'3" who need petite bottoms but regular tops because they are long waisted but short-legged.   It doesn't help me a bit if one of their models is 5'9" wearing Large or whether she is wearing XS.   What's her bust size?  Her waist?  Short-waisted or long waisted?

Not all the QVC models are high fashion models--long torso, long legs-perfectly proportioned.   So it's apples & oranges at best.

Just give me accurate sizing & quality control, I can take it from there.

It seems to me that the majority of the hosts like to say they wear a xxs to a small..  I just don't see it ... I know I don't wear that size..

I know what @Dex is saying. During the Irish sweater shows Jane claimed she was iin an XS. She's hippy and it was buttoned on her, so ordered that size. I couldn't button it, I'm a size 10 normally on top, but thought they ran big since SHE could fit in an XS. Out $9.95 to try it on because Q's hosts like to claim they're iin the XS size. I learned!

Me too. 2-3 yrs ago a host of Denim & Co. said she wore a large in the pull on pants I said to self well, I'm not that big and took a M . I tried on got up to knees and go whaaaaaaaaaaaattttttt and returned for a large. That host has put on 50 since then at least and still says she wears a large.

mmmmmmmmm I don't think so.  I'm still ordering large.
