Community Chat is cluttered with TV and Movie type threads, please move  them to where they belong, Books, TV, Movies. Thanks

Good idea.  I hope they do that.

Any other board I've ever frequented would automatically move threads that are posted to the wrong forum. 

OTOH, on this board people will whine about it because - well, never mind.  You probably already know.  It's silly and childish.  

The point is that a board has a variety of forums for a reason and usually that is enforced automatically for the better good.

It doesn't bother me, since a few of the forums are a mixed bag (Community Chat, Q Talk, Among Friends, as examples) and also some posters have more of a comfort zone in a certain forum.  In a way, it gives us snapshots of a variety of topics without moving from forum to forum.

However, I know from past threads (and this one) that it is a frustration for some people.  @chickenbutt, I agree it's typical for managers to automatically move threads to the specific topic-related area.  I suppose anyone could use the "report" feature when a thread appears to be in the wrong place, but it's still up to the moderators.

Where but on this board are things  in a jumble?  Stores don't mix kitchen appliances with handbags. Even garage sales place like items together.
