Would like QVC to have a Made In America Forum.  I put in Made in America and what came up was very few items that were Made in America and the majority was Imported.  What a big disappointment....  What a Shame.

Years ago George Simonton and Susan Graver would announce when a garment was made in the USA.

Everyone wants things Made in America until they see the price.  I have heard this argument many times but its pricey. People don't want to pay that price for American made items

Many years ago items were made in America.  Great quality and price.

It can happen and I'm sure it will.  The sooner the better.

Those were the days that my grandmother and then my mother were seamstresses making dresses and other women's clothing.

The chance to go back to that is non existent.  They were paid very little (before minimum wage regulations) and worked in poor conditions (led to unionization).

These are not times when any of that would be tolerated.  We also have very few facilities at which to manufacture goods and not as many people willing to do these jobs without high compensation.  All of this adds up to exorbitant prices.

Let's say an item is fully made in America. We'd have to manufacture the fabric, thread, buttons, zippers, the machinery and so on. We would need workers to do drudge work. I don't see that happening. Just like American workers cannot hack agricultural jobs.

I can't see many people in their 20's and 30's hunched over a sewing machine or large machinery for eight hours a day.

It's too easy to make money on social media.

With A1 breathing down our backs, skilled workers are going to be the ones holding the aces!

I cannot imagine that happening on Q, I think the majority of the vendors carry and sell foreign mde products. I have about a half dozen made in the USA websites saved to my computer but no way to get them posted here, but if you do a search for Authenticity50 it should give you a great start.

Before Christmas, ABC news did a made in America story every night. I was impressed with many of the featured products. I bet national attention really helped the bottom lineof those companies.
