I would love to see some of the brands on QVC offer low sodium products.

Most processed food has a lot of sodium. In addition, it also has a lot of sugar, fat, & chemicals. I would like to see healthier options from QVC too, but they sell what many people want. I just move on & let others buy the stuff. I eat a lot of fresh fruit & vegetables. I know that isn't going to work for QVC.

QVC is not the place to buy "healthy" food except for that green liquid stuff they sell--LOL!!!!

I do agree @vavavegas . I purchase a lot of food from QVC, and unlike others state, some are very healthy. We really love the salmon. Anyway, I believe some of the items like their Heartland chicken could easily be made with at least 1/2 the salt. We have to be very careful with what sodium we consume throughout the day if we have a piece of their chicken for dinner.

I agree that the salmon is healthy and so good! I always have it stocked in my freezer.

From what I recall, many of QVC's food items are holiday or special purchases, not everyday foods.

I think a lot of people order things for the holidays and have them sent directly to friends or family.   Nice present with fewer shipping hassles.

As far as Americans' terrible diet, many years ago, when I first started posting here, I was shocked at the recipes being traded in the food sections.  My personal thought was "don't these people know ANYTHING about nutrition?".   LOL  Woman LOL

It's not only about what you eat, but also what ELSE you eat on any given day.

Except for the salmon, most of the food Q sells is processed and preserved. That kind of food requires significant amounts of salt, sugar and fat in order to preserve it. It will spoil too soon otherwise.

We buy salmon either at Trader Joe's or our local supermarket or order it when we eat out.  IMO the prices for salmon on QVC are out of line.

The food is loaded w fat, sugar, sodium and preservatives. Which is a huge problem with many Americans diets. Hot dogs, hamburges - all red meat- cookies, coffee cake etc, all indeed what many people eat daily.
