Like most everything else...    they are not made like they used to be.  I still like them, but the quality is definitely not the same.  The stackable sets are nice since they take up so much less space.  Always a plus!

May have to go to EBAY.  So many choices these days so perhaps this brand is not as popular.

I have noticed that not all Lock and Lock sets are made the same or equal.

Some are thicker and stronger than others. Some of the square nesting with the lids on sets I've received in the last year are really flimsy. But some round sets bought in the same time frame are so much thicker and sturdier.

And all their rounds leak. If you really put them to the test, they will leak.

Another thing I noticed is that when all I bought was the clear with the blue seal, everything was good. But once the colors came out, with the clear seal in the lid, I noticed the clear seals are not as thick and beefy as the blue ones found in the clear containers.

I haven't bought a clear container from Q in several years (although I have found them at TJ Maxx and got some) so I wonder if the blue seals are still bigger and beefier and do a better job.

But I do notice that some sets, even offered at the same time, are made quite a bit better than others.

I have never had a tab break off of mine, and am always amazed when this is a big problem for people (not saying they aren't having that problem, just amazed by it). It's amazing how people can have such different experiences and results with the same products or services.

@Mominohio  So funny you mention the clear with the blue seal.  95% of my L&L are the clear.  I too find them sturdier and better made.  I did buy one set that was all red, many years ago because I wanted to put marinara and  meat sauce in them without staining the containers.   I love those and haven't found anything like them.  Now they typically just to the top in the color and not the entire container.

I stick with my clears and all is good....   so far.
