Re: Lisa Rinna's Fat Shaming Rant

I don't watch her show, I don't watch her on the Q but hearing what she supposedly said doesn't bother me in the least. Everyone has their opinion. That's what makes living in this country great! Just because its not something you agree on doesn't mean she should be ostracized. JMO

@ID2I totally agree with your comment but I also believe the Ladies should have the same freedom to express their disgust and hurt too.

Re: Lisa Rinna's Fat Shaming Rant

What I saw of Lisa Rinna's comments wasn't fat-shaming in my book.  Maybe I didn't see all of them because it was after the fact.  Didn't she just say the women attacking her on social media must be fat, etc.?  That doesn't seem such a big deal.  What if she'd said they must be ugly?  Or stupid?  I think it's normal to strike back at some point when one is being trolled day after day.

I don't think Paula Deen should have been dropped.  The supposed comments occurred years (decades?) earlier, and no one knows whether they occurred or exactly what was said because there is no record of the exchange if it even took place.  Deen was criticized for her comments about her preference for elegant black male waiters for fancy dining.  I took this as a compliment and a reflection of who she thinks did the best job for her.  I believe she was thinking of specific PEOPLE and not saying she sees these black men as slaves, which is what she was accused of.  Owners of high-end restaurants and catering services in my experience won't hire just anyone.  Their waitstaff must be well spoken and must project the right image to justify the high price charged.  Such waiters get top pay in the industry and are the cream of the crop.

The problem with Deen were the goings on in her and her brothers restaurant. Apparently the brother would sit in full view of all the staff with unhealthy websites if you get my drift for all to see. Waitress were intimidated. Unlawful practices were continued until a lawsuit  was brought forth. Everyone thinks it was because of a certain word she said. Not true.

So you're saying it didn't involve race?  I didn't hear anything about her brother and web sites.  She seems like a nice woman to me.  I'm beyond tired of this destroying the life of anyone who gets on the wrong side of the PC police.  Many say things that are even more offensive, but as long as they don't violate PC they're left alone.  There's a viciousness in our society and groupthink these days that is very disturbing.  Lisa Rinna's comments in a fit of anger on Instagram do not define her entire life.

I have seen her a couple of times on the Q but I am not interested in her clothing.  Her style isn't my style in more ways than one.

Very sad to see qvc highlighting a celebrity who called plus sized women horrible names, said they would die alone with cats, and even made vulgar comments about their private parts.  Regardless of fan reaction on her Bravo Reality Show, it seems that this type of thinking, even in anger, goes against everything I believed Qvc to represent.   I would guess that any woman who does support this sale is unaware of her vile comments.

@MyTwoCents2  I totally agree with you. She said nasty things about  heavy women.... I would NEVER EVER purchase anything from her line.  but knowing QVC, they will allow her to return. Joan Rivers also said horrible things and she was regarded a Saint at QVC.  I never bought anything more from Joan's line when Joan stepped over the line on saying gross rude and nasty things.  The best  thing we as consumers can do is to not buy the product. We can make a difference boycotting the line.

QVC, as a long time customer, I'm very disappointed in your willingness to continue to promote such a vile person.  (and FWIW, I'm tall and slender, but still offended by such a vulgar tirade against women.)  Shame on you, QVC.

Re: Lisa Rinna's Fat Shaming Rant

Why would I want to buy anything from her line of clothing ? I am a size that would be in her fat category .  She needs to watch what she says. Many hurt feelings out there because of her stupid and self centered rant. QVC has other lines of nice clothing to chose from. Who needs her. Lisa does not think to highly of her customers. I think more of my money not to go to her.
